11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.
- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

I would always support the one who is against war. I can't wait to see Bush's pathetic end.

Please focus on basketball as it relates to politics. Not politics themselves. There are no limit of sites that are political in theme.
One issue that will start getting a lot of press is Foyle. He is very politically minded. And one can expect him to start some sort of voter drive; one can wonder if the Magic organization will get involved in such non-partisan activities.

But I do alot of promotion on Myspace and I work with alot of rappers, as we all know most rappers are black. Anyways Ive noticed that about 95% of the black rappers / fans of rap I meet and talk to all support Obama. I support Obama myself, but Ive just wondered before if its possible some black ppl will vote Obama because hes black. I know there are plenty of black McCains supporters out there. Just something that made me kinda curious. Does it have anything to do with race or is just a huge coincidence? And Im not making tryin to bring up a "Race issue" with this because for a while I wondered if some women would vote Hillary just to have a lady President. Anyways just curious to hear from ppl who prolly pay more attention to the big picture then I do.
Kerry got 90% of the black vote in 2004 I believe. Obama currently is polling around 95% of the black vote. The majority of Obama's black support has more to do with his politics than his race. If Obama was the Republican candidate I doubt the Democrat would lose much of the 90% Kerry got before.
I have my doubts about that. Most African Americans are democrats anyway. A lot of that has to do with perception about Republicans. You make the nomination between between a black republican and a white democrat and the perception about who would likely have the best interest in the African American community completely flip. Although I doubt that a black republican could get 95% of the vote. I think most African Americans would see a black candidate even on the republican side as a history making event that would force them to vote with him regardless of politics. I would say that Hispanics, Jews, would feel the same.
Now I'm not sure the same thing would go with Women. It would have been interesting if she had won. Would women see her being elected as a new era of equality between men and women. Fact is women have led powerful nations before. A African American or Hispanic leading a powerful Western country would be pretty huge news on to itself. Being the leader of the most powerful country would be pretty historic.
Some people might not like a vote based on race. In this situation I could see why. It would change the minds of every young African American child about the country he lives in. As of right now the biggest role models in the Black community are often Rappers or Athletes. That would change forever if Obama was to win.
Should he loose it probably be the complete opposite. I think you would see a backlash in the black community. McCain probably go down as one of the most hated candidates with Black voters. Most would see an Obama loss as some whites would not vote for a Black candidate regardless of his politics. All McCain has to do is give them a reason that doesn't sound like its because he is black. In an election year where the current republican President has such a low approval rate. A year where Democrats are likely to dominate the election in congress. Add in that McCain is a pretty weak Republican candidate that is running a pretty boring campaign you could see a pretty big backlash not only with African Americans but within Liberals period.

the democrats would literally have to dig up strom thurmond or one of the old dixiecrat democrats and make him their presidential candidate in order for a black republican to stand any chance among black voters.
just ask michael steele.

Re: OT: Lebron Donates 20k to Obama
If Colin Powell had ran in 96 or 2000 he would have ran away with the black vote. Even in 2003 he was still voted as the most influential African American within the black community. In 96 Polls showed he would have killed Clinton and took away most of his black vote. He most likely would not get 95% big of the vote like Obama. However if Obama could potential take 50% of the Black Republicans then I don't see why you don't think it could go the other way around.
