Lindsey Hunter

Post#1 » by glennathan » Thu Aug 7, 2008 3:34 am

I just read that Lindsey Hunter is a free agent and I was wondering if he was worth thinking about as an option. I heard he did well in the playoffs and decent for Detroit in the regular season. I know we have AJ as a PG now and he is older but I was just wondering if he is worth a shot even for the vet min.

I think Otis is looking for a young PG.

I'm interested in landing Hunter as a back-up*. His experience would be valuable.

in a heart beat...it would be nice to get a younger guy, but Hunter probably the top on the ball defensive PG in the league, even to this day in his limited minutes...and, he's a leader...

you all know him better then I do. Was there a reason we targeted AJ instead of hunter. I know if hunter came back for another season would most likely join the pistons but is AJ really a good PG or just an improvment to what we had?

AJ is a very good veteran PG...Hunter was said to be retiring, so I dont know that many teams were going after him directly...AJ posses size which is certainly something that we were in the market for...

So understandably he is better then what we got from arroyo. Is he more like Jameer being shoot first or more like steve nash with a pass first mentallity?

I'd rather have Hunter over Quinn.
Basketball is driven by three principles:

1) Movement 2) Application of fundamentals 3) Predictability

well, Quinn is a heady young buck though, not a defender, but a PG and a heck of a shooter, much better than hunter, especially beyond the arc...still, i'd do it...but you know he's going to re-sign with Detroit...
