with that said as a Tampa Bay resident and huge Bucs fan, if he is insisting on doing this then I would welcome him with open arms
But Jerry Rice was as success because of his iq and speed, once he went to the raiders (age 30) he lost some of his speed but still managed to help the raiders to a superbowl appearance in 2002 vs the Bucs and manage to get like 1100 yards a season in 01 and 02. If brett favre can get results like that in tampa i would be very happy
This statement had nothing to do with Favre's abilities, he will still be one of the better QB's in the league this year. Its just when a player plays for the same team for all those years and is a legend like Favre will be you associate them with that team. (think Marino and Elway...would have been weird seeing them play for another team). Its like when Jordan went to the wizards I was more concerned with him not retiring a Chicago Bull than how he would play with the wiz.

I certainly think Favre would be open to playing a year in Atlanta.
Again, I know Favre just wants to play football so yea I agree with you I just don't think its the same. thats my opinion
That said I wish him the best of luck in NY and if he is in the Superbowl I will be rooting him on (as long as its not against the Bucs)
