Draft express I think had an article on foreign guys and only 3 taken the first round haven't come over. One is Saric, but he hasn't had the opportunity yet. The other two were Fran and a guy for the Knicks in like 1999. It's extremely rare a first round Euro doesn't come over.

it just happens that we had one of the 2 bad examples. Meh.

no it isn't. Larry had that side catapult shot. Notable catapult shooters are Derrick fisher, Carlos boozer and tony Allen. Bird didn't pull it as far back as boozer and Allen.

He doesn't hold his follow through like bird though and turns his body so he isn't square.

Dipo had a 15.9 PER rating as a sophomore guard, already starting quality and only going up from there. Expecting regression to a bench role is odd.

He may or may not be a superstar, but I see no way he fails as a cornerstone player. I like the idea that he is 19 and has played professionally longer than about anyone on this team even though it wasn't the NBA.
