This is what I mean. There is an argument to be made that he is the best defensive player in Magic history aside from Dwight, and people still prefer Rashard. I still have him as my starting 3.

This is what I mean. There is an argument to be made that he is the best defensive player in Magic history aside from Dwight, and people still prefer Rashard. I still have him as my starting 3.

Didn't realize his defensive numbers were that good. Outlaw and Flash are my favorite players of all time because of their heart, hustle and smart play.

For my Diener is disqualified team, I had him on the bench. I've thought of Bo as more of a PF, and have to go with Ho Grant (or C-Webb) there. I would definitely take Bo Outlaw on my team over Turk (and probably Shard, depending on the contract we're talking), especially with the other players. I couldn't given begin to imagine the stupid **** Turk would do when he finally got the ball and the temper tantrums Dwight would throw if those 2 were on a team with Tmac and Penny, with all inside scoring going to Shaq.

Assuming the team has to get through a season (thus I disqualified Tmac, Hill, VC, etc.) and you have to make an attempt at a roster that would fit under a salary cap:

Ho Grant (am I correct to assume I can't go with Chris Webber?)
Shaq (almost went with Patrick Ewing, as you could argue more likely to be loyal and stay with the team through his prime which is important for building a contender)

I like Lewis at the 4 next to shaq over Dwight. He defends the position at an above average level and stretches the floor nicely. I can see a strong case for Scott over Turk though.

I think anyone picking Rashard Lewis/Horace Grant over Dwight Howard is either letting their Dwight hate shine through (understandable,) or not looking past the offensive redundancy of Howard/O'Neal and realizing that it would not only force Howard into the role he was always reluctant to accept (just be the best defensive player in the league and get rebounds,) but would create one of the best PF/C combos ever, free throws be damned.

Nothing personal against Dwight, he just didnt play much PF here especially in his prime. And the FT shooting between Dwight and Shaq.. yuck. Which leaves me to choose between Shaq or Dwight, which is definitely Shaq for me. Also it takes a little bit of the fun out of the game putting guys out of position in these hypothetical scenarios.
