I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

Yeah you may be right. Certainly Vic does a lot of the same things. So does Elf. Honestly I can't see a solid reason AG isn't getting 25+ minutes a game.
I'm pretty sure if he was a much better offensive player he'd get more run. but he really has no definable skill-set offensively outside of his hustle. Don't get me wrong he's a better player, but he provides very little on that end.
