i see guys like dipo, payton, gordon, mario, tobes.....some **** tremendous athletes, boxed into a system of half court, grind down the shotclock offense when these guys need to be in the open court, not walking up the court

there is no doubt in my mind ownership forced skiles upon hennigan, this style of play makes no sense

Can't get out and run if you're the ball out of bounds on made baskets. This team has offensive issues, but it also has defensive ones.

Besides, we have guys who can finish on the break, but no one can pass... How many times have we seen a blown fastbreak? I'd be curious to see the stats on that.

Id like to see:

Elf
Mario
Gordon
Harris
Vuc.

Seems strange that we havent tried this one yet. Fournier does not have the elite athleticism necessary to be a good starter in the nba. Hes pretty much already a complete product which is probably a high level backup.

Oladipo is too inconsistent at this juncture. Untill he shows the ability to play with payton and space the floor, he can come off the bench.

We need to invest in our most talented players which are gordon payton and mario.

This lineup has prodigious size, offers floor spacing for payton and better defensively than any lineup with frye.

Gordon is still the youngest player on the team and missed half of his rookie season. And yet, he is sixth on the team in minutes, and his minutes have been increasing as the season progresses. There's also a chance he moves into the starting lineup tonight -- we'll see.

As for Mario, Skiles was hired to win games and try to get this team into the playoffs. He was not hired to simply develop the young players and roll with their mistakes, the way Vaughn was. Therefore, Mario will be brought along slowly because he's not quite ready to help this team win games. Skiles and his staff need to un-learn Mario from Euro ball. If there reaches a point where they throw in the towel on the season, Mario may play more, but that hasn't happened yet.

I agree 100% I think his job is to develop young players, but it has to happen within the flow of the team also winning games which is not what the arm chair coaches want him to.

What we're seeing now with Gordon's increased minutes is what people wanted but were too impatient to wait for. Look and pay attention people THIS is actually how long it takes for a young player to get accustomed to a structured system and EARN minutes.

FYI. Rodman was a 6'7" PF. Ben Wallace was a 6'9" Center. Aaron Gordon is a 6'9" PF. It is that simple. No small ball about it.

Sorry, that's not how it works. Rodman was one of the most unique players in NBA history. Ben Wallace is up there too... he's actually 6'7 w/out shoes and also bench pressed 400 pounds. Pound for pound one of the toughest players in the NBA at his time. Aaron Gordon is nothing like those guys. Height isn't the lone factor in determining whether or not a person is capable of playing any particular position. Mugsy Bouges was 5'3. Can every 5'3 person play PG in the NBA?

C'mon BMP, you know better than that.

So, you think Aaron Gordon cannot be one of the most unique players in the NBA?
