I should note -- additionally -- that I think NBA positions are becoming more fluid. Green obviously the quintessential example. He plays the 3, 4 and the 5 for the Warriors. I think the flexibility that AG brings could be used in a somewhat similar fashion here.

The thing is -- he has to get on the floor -- in whatever role.

One thing is for sure, Noel is a 5. So unless we're trading Vucevic for someone like Love, this makes no sense.

He's been pretty terrible at playing the 4 this year in Philly.

I don't think he's a sure fire 5 either. That said, cant we keep these in the trade thread? Are people going to keep creating player specific threads?

He played the 5 last year. This year at the 4, he is struggling. Check out the Philly board. I learned about his issues there.

Again with Noel? Stop listening to every single rumor. Why are so many people facinated with this guy? Jus because the team is struggling now doesnt mean we have to panic and give up one of our core guys for someone who has yet to prove anything in the NBA. He would be a backup at the C/PF for us at most. Nothing Noel can do that Jason isnt already providing for us.

Philly would have to send us their entire team to make up for his knees.

That was made up by some random blog... both guys were struggling, so instead of saying a trade makes sense they wrote it like it was a rumor to get hits (and dumb Philly fans ate it up despite knowing the source).

They wanna steal one from us after we stole Payton.

I fully agree that this idea needs to die. But it is because Philly isn't letting this kid out of their hands and that is because he is a great young talent who is already making waves at the NBA level.

 Those last two sentences are among the worst this board has seen in some time.

Have to agree with the Philly poster here. I have no doubt that they will get a great pg in this year's draft that will probably have a great shot at winning ROY next year even though they will still be in the lottery, again. And even after they trade him away 2 years after that while they are still in the lottery I'm sure that will allow them to draft another new pg in the 2018 lottery and he, too, will be miles better than EP and, not to worry, he would again have a shot at ROY in 2019.

Gotta hand it to Philly fan. His team has a plan and is executing it to perfection.

Umm, Philly fan, either go talk draft smack on the Nets board (the only organization that seems to be more of a clown show than you) or stop throwing rocks out of your glass house.

I don't think I can talk "draft" smack on the Nets board but its fun coming here watching you drown in NBA purgatory! Rather be at the bottom than in the middle.

And I don't think you can call my team a clown show...

Well, let's take a journey down memory land to see just what a clown show the 6ers are.

2011 Sixers 1st Round Pick: Nikola Vucevic (no longer with team), 2012 Sixers First Round pick: Mo Harkless (no longer with team)

Traded both to the Magic (along with Iggy to Denver) to acquire Andrew Bynum. Spectacular stuff there to start us off. Why would anyone possibly accuse your organization of being a clown show. That, right there, is a well run franchise. Clearly.

2013 Sixers First Round Pick: MCW (no longer with team). Acquired through trade First Round Pick: Nerlens Noel

MKW won ROY and then traded away last year for Lakers pick top 3 protected this year and next. So probably a 2017 draft pick. Well Done. Just pushed your own pick back 4 years. Quality Stuff. Noel is a man in search of a position. Maybe he might be a decent NBA player someday. Maybe.

2014 Sixers First Round Pick Joel Embiid (with team. has never played). Elfrid Payton (traded to the Magic for Saric who has not yet played in the NBA and the return of the Sixers future draft rights).

Don't worry, I'm sure he will be healthy soon and just fine. 2 foot surgeries on a big is no biggie before he ever plays.

Then we have 2015 and Okafor -- the jury remains out though I do like him.

So, looking back -- Last 5 years we have TWO healthy players actually playing for the Sixers.

Generally, the idea of being at the bottom is that you eventually get back to the top. The Sixers timeline for that remains at least 2 years (maybe 3) from even competing for a playoff spot.

Yeah, absurd to call you a clown show. Absolutely absurd.

You cannot include a non-hinkie trade in our discussions. That was Doug Collins garbage and the reason we had to tank.

Maybe.

Yeah and that was a perfect sell high trade. If that pick lands 4 and we get Kris Dunn, do you really think you can chirp about that trade anymore? I don't. MCW is practically on Bucks bench. And Noel at 5 is close to Vucevic numbers with being 4 years younger so I don't think you can trash him either.

2014 Sixers First Round Pick Joel Embiid (with team. has never played). Elfrid Payton (traded to the Magic for Saric who has not yet played in the NBA and the return of the Sixers future draft rights)

Don't worry, I'm sure he will be healthy soon and just fine. 2 foot surgeries on a big is no biggie before he ever plays.

You better hope he's not healthy. Embiid would have been 1st overall in the last 3 drafts if he was healthy (yes he would go first over Simmons). Plus who would we have taken at 3? Aaron Gordon? No thanks. And we roasted you on that Saric trade. We had no desire for Saric to come over and make us better. Develop and when we are ready to compete (always has been after 2016 draft), then come over and play. Ish Smith was waived because he would make us too good. Look at LAL, we are 3 back from them now that we beat your butts.

Then we have 2015 and Okafor-- the jury remains out though I do like him.

We either trade Noel or Okafor. We will get a haul for either of them. More for Okafor. Which means they get traded for a backcourt help which makes our team even more dangerous. How does no one else see this?

So, looking back -- Last 5 years we have TWO healthy players actually playing for the Sixers.

So to reiterate, we have not had 3 first round lottery draft picks play for us this year and yet we just beat you with borderline D-leaguers and Undrafted Diamonds. Got it.

Generally, the idea of being at the bottom is that you eventually get back to the top. The Sixers timeline for that remains at least 2 years (maybe 3) from even competing for a playoff spot.

Yeah, absurd to call you a clown show. Absolutely absurd.

Hmmm ok. So we add 3 lottery talents to our team next year. Embiid, Saric, and one of Simmons/Ingram/Dunn/Brown. WE UPGRADE AT LEAST 2 POSITIONS. We have the 2nd most cap space in the league... and we still have LAL, MIAMI, and OKC draft picks to work with. I think we are well on our way. We have been 5-8 since Ish Smith's arrival. ISH SMITH. I honestly don't think you have anything to attack me with. I think most people would love to be bad instead of mediocre and boring. I like my team a lot better than yours. So we will agree to disagree!
