A trade is coming but I doubt henny gets fleeced in any scenario. So if teams are not trying to be greedy (Philly/houston) a deal can be reached.

My gut is telling me he likes barnes. So he can add youth who has a winning mentality best of both worlds.

"This product may not work for us... but it might work amazingly for you!" type of deal. You can't just take them off the showroom floor to see if the youngster will outplay them... cuz it just screams "my product is probably not worth much no more". I personally think that fournier and frye will be shopped heavily over the next couple weeks.

A pf/c that shoots above 40% from 3 is very attractive.... even though for us/me... we might want to plug in the 20 yo pogo stick instead.

Fournier has definitely shown an uptick in his abilities.... and if people are already talking about 10+ mill being his range in FA.... then he has to be worth something to somebody. Mario has Fournieresque abilities... just need the time and opportunity to develop them once the training wheels are taken off. I would love to get a multi year contract for a USEFUL and solid player for him. Heard mumbles of Bull and Taj gibson... i've loved the notion of Gibson... next to Vooch or off the bench!

If February 18th comes and goes and no trades are made..... and our youth is still scrapping for minutes.... then I'll start to be more concerned. We'll see what Hennigan has up his sleeve!

With Noah going down I don't think they move Gibson now. Doesn't seem like theres anything out there that makes it worth moving our young guys.

Yeah... totally forgot about him going down for the season. Been so busy and haven't followed the league as intensely..... all i get to do is tune in to our embarrassments and then cry myself to sleep at nights! lol

not sure bout the barnes part. But I can see them as being a suitable trade partner. Who are you thinking in return from Philly? I can see why they would not mind the addition of evan though!

From a talent perspective I don't see why GS would do this move. But from a contractual perspective it makes sense. Both are restricted free agents but Barnes could potentially want to be a focal point on a different team where as Fournier may re-sign. Also, remember that GS could potentially sign Kevin Durant so that would lower his value as a RFA because teams would know that they wouldn't have to offer the max to get him.

My Gut is telling me the same. My only concern is he going to really be worth the money he thinks he's worth?

If you want Harrison Barnes, then be prepared to give up AG or Hezonja. Kerr wont give away his starting SF for Tobias + Fournier and maybe Frye/Nicholson package.
