Im still of the opinion that I wouldnt trade ep effort for vics or vucs(aside from defense). All of are players this year have been up and down all season. One moment you think they are about to break out to be brought back down again. AG has been one of the more consistent aside from early benchings from boneheaded fouls.

We aren't better without Vooch or Oladipo. As usual people are overreacting to one good game against a team that didn't/doesn't care. We were a pretty exciting team with Payton Vooch and Dipo last season so the myth that we're some how better without those two is laughable. We need more than one season to see how this whole thing gels together with the young nucleus so I wouldn't trade any of those guys unless its a clear upgrade that firmly plants us in the playoff race.

and if the results are the same next year, then we need more than 2 years for the team to gel?

in terms of value of talent, we aren't better without Vuc or Vic. but in terms of chemistry, is there the potential chance that a version of the Magic without Vuc or Vic could be better for chemistry?

because right now, nobody has a leg to stand on if they want to claim that Vuc are best for the team, because all they've done is give us 3 losing seasons in a row. the idea that Vuc and Vic are essential to our success is what's a myth, because we haven't had any real success with them in over 3 seasons.

We've also haven't had a real coach over the last 3 seasons and this team still lacks an elite player. If the team hasn't show significant progress this time next season then we can talk about moving pieces or replacing the coaching staff, or whatever the FO sees fit. Not after barely one season within a structured system that historically has worked in the past. We need to WAIT.

WHile in tank mode for two of those.

Its important to have someone you can dump the ball into to control the game. Without him we have a bunch of non shooters running around the perimeter trying to get open.

That's too bad if what you say is true about Elfrid because the team is bigger than him so I guess we'll be looking for a new PG if he cant adjust to his teammates.

Pace isn't exactly a measure of how frequently a team runs or pushes the ball up the court. It simply measures possessions per 48 minutes, for which there are many different causal variables.

And I agree that the team is bigger than any individual player, but that doesn't necessarily mean Payton and Vucevic can't coexist on the roster. Their minutes should be staggered so as to maximize each player's abilities. The Magic have been in talent acquisition mode over the last few years, but Hennigan will have to address the fit of the various pieces at some point.

We've just completed our first season with Skiles, whom I would consider a 'real coach', and the results aren't remarkable.
