It won't happen straight away. If we don't make any more changes this summer, it will likely be Vuc and Fournier as the top 2 scorers, with AG picking up Oladipo's share of the shots.

AG will never be the shooter PG is, but he could be Kawhi. That's got to be our hope.

Eh? Kawhi is a better shooter than Paul George and a better overall player. Kawhi is one of the best three or four basketball players on this planet.

I suspect Ibaka will also be a bigger part of the offense.

I think Ibaka will get his 10-12fgas per game, but I don't know if he's capable of much more than that. Last season, when Durant went down, Ibaka had every opportunity to step up and show he could handle a bigger role. Instead, he just continued to post the same numbers he always did.

Maybe Vogel gets a bit more out of him, I just don't see him being more than a 15ppg guy, and I'm fine with that. I think he knows his role.

Apparently Ibaka was unhappy with his role in OKC. I think he will have a bigger role here on offense. He's in a contract year so we need to keep him happy.

I love how Dipo turned from hero to zero in just few hours :)

I don't think anyone is saying he's a zero, but objectively, trading a combo guard for a borderline all-star big - and Ibaka has that ability certainly, especially if he become a focus on offense - is a deal you have to make. Including Ersan is not a big deal, and 11, well, time will tell, but it's potential for a known quantity.

I expect Ibaka to explode under Vogel.

haha so now he is just a combo guard but yesterday he was as good or even better than Jimmy Butler

It's very evident that we have wanted a legit PF...first the attempt for Millsap, now the acquisition of Ibaka. I think management envisions Gordon as a 3 long term?

and now a Ibaka is a borderline all star 12 ppg 7 rpg yet Vucevic isn't one. I also love that Victor suddenly becomes not as good as Waiters  OKC won that trade and it'll never be close. Unless we land an elite player they'll never live this down. Desperation move for a non go to scorer. He's basically playoff Biyombo without the rebounding.

You guys can say OKC won the trade all day long. That is small time thinking. We now have a guy who can greatly assist us in the playoffs. If it takes a few people saying OKC won a trade for that to happen, fine by me.

Sorry. I'm just upset that we took such a big risk at the expense of Oladipo and now people are pretending hes a throw in. If Ibaka is a borderline all star then so is victor

You are right. It's essentially an even trade in that respect. And that is fine. People are acting like we were fleeced.

Sabonis MAY be as good as Andrew Nicholson one day and Ily is getting waived.

We really needed a player like Ibaka and OKC really needed some flex at the SG spot. So the trade works.

Wow, usually we agree but in this case, you're so far off base it's not really funny.

Ibaka has been a core piece to a team that has been a title contender for the past five years. He's been on the all-defensive team three times in five years and a top 5 shot blocker for four years. He's an elite defensive force and I'll go out on a limb to predict that this year he pushes 17 PPG and 8 RPG while reestablishing himself as a defensive force.

He's also going to make Vuc, who I believe *is* a borderline all-star, even better. He's the perfect compliment to Vuc on the defensive end as well.

I think it will prove out to be even as both teams got what they needed. Ibaka will be paid, and a bunch, on a long term deal next offseason, and I'm going to be just fine with that as he will establish himself to be a legitimate star.
