But part of our movement of shedding the SOFT label. Had to go.

I always thought Jason was the most physical player on last years team. He was the anti-thesis of soft.

I never thought of him as soft either but that seems to be what many think of him around the league. Maybe from his pre Orlando days but I definitely didn't see it last season.

Wiz fans were claiming he's soft as soon as they signed him too so idk where it's coming from.

I haven't seen anyone hate him from around the league as I never heard him being soft except the moment he signed wiht the Wizards all of a sudden he was soft and Magic are better without him.

This just seems to me as being the typical hate on most ex-Magic players as a way of justifying them no longer being worthy of Magic Blue.

Uhhh no. That isn't the case. Victor is going to go on to great things even if he's not in Magic Blue.

Jason Smith played decent for us, but let's not get confused here. There's a reason he loved to settle for long 2s... he never liked to get physical and bang down low.... and he never intimidated anyone from attacking the basket on D. His brand of defense can be defined as "surprisingly better than I thought"... nobody would define him as a "rim protector" or "post defender".

You are what you are perceived as... and that's why Wiz fans think he's soft before they even watched him play for their team.
