Smart is surviving on his defense right now but you can't make it in the league just based on that. That's how Reggie Jackson started out but he really developed his game and was a much better athlete than Smart. Smart also needs to get in better shape.

Thanks.

You're welcome. More speculation than rumor I guess. I would only do it if we could include Watson and they throw in a big to back up center.

Rumors coming out of China are where Broussard gets his "sauces".

You honestly think Smart is better than Elf? Elf is raw and a long way from being the player he can be...but he is still currently 10 times the player Smart is and ever will be.

I never said Smart is better than Elfrid and I never said that I approve this trade. I do not approve of the trade. The trade doesn't make sense because as long as we have Elfrid and DJ Augustin, if we were to bring in a proven point guard than Elfrid or DJ would be gone.

You said Smart would be our starting PG if we got him. That is ludicrous.

no dude, if you look at my quote i asked the question wouldn't smart start over payton? Once I put it as question mark, im asking the question.

Is it really a question worth asking?

Even if you hate him, gotta admit, he makes some pretty spectacular defensive plays and his energy is infectious (ignoring his offense). He'd fit in well here, off the bench.

They're both crap shooters. Only difference is Elfrid knows his limitations (I actually wish he'd shoot more), and Smart takes it as a challenge to see how many awful 3s he can brick.

I wouldn't say Payton knows his limitations but he is better than smart at that.

I'd say taking around 1 three a game at 32-35 percent is knowing your limitations rather than hoisting up 4 a game at 25-30 percent with Smart.

Thats not a fair trade anyways. Payton and Vuc aren't going anywhere no matter how much it gets discussed here...

Yeah I mean he takes his open shots, kind of plays within his limits. Smart takes contested 3s off the dribble, tougher shots. It's weird, for such a garbage shooter to do so.

Another trade Vuc for a role player scenario. Boston gets a lot better than we do in that trade. I wouldn't trade Elfrid for Smart. So I'm defiantly not trading Vuc for him

If Boston wants Vuc, they can engage Phoenix in a trade that gets us Bledsoe, them Vuc, and PHO whomever they are looking for.

Only way I could see either being traded is if they are sent out together for a major upgrade (star). So yeah...they aren't going anywhere.

That's how you build a rep as a top GM apparently. Only make a trade when you clearly rip the other guy off.

Vogel would love the guy but I would not trade Vuc for him. I would love to have Avery Bradley on this team though.

Anything we take back from Boston would just become some kind of backup, defensive role player for our team, unless we're talking about IT. Bradley and Crowder are 2-way players, but they're not elite scorers, and neither would start over our current starters, IMO.

Vuc's impact as a scorer, even if off the bench, is much more crucial than backup wing depth.
