Oladipo has put together a pretty solid season in OKC with 16.8 PPG, 4.6 RPG, and 2.9 APG. on 45.8 Percent from the field and 38.1 percent from 3.

Sabonis is averaging 6.6 PPG 3.1 RPG and 1.1 APG on 45.3 percent from the field and 42.9 Percent from 3.

while Ibaka is averaging 14.5 PPG 6.6 RPG and 1.9 BPG on 47.5 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3.
Both sides acting like they fleeced each other but its nearly even (IMO). All players in the trade are playing pretty well.

Maybe. Dipo is putting up those numbers playing off a top 5 player in the league. Who, exactly, is taking the attention off Serge on the Magic?

dipo averaged pretty much the same stats last year while playing with us . He is slightly more efficient but not by much . It could be attributed to westbrook or natural improvement or small sample size or a little bit of everything . Point is dipo would probably be able to produce those numbers if he was on our team this year since he did it last year. the main difference playing with westbrook is that he is on a winning team and actually will be in the playoffs.

Number stats, yes. Advanced, not so much. Marginal uptick in TS% (statistical noise) but he has declined by 10% in PER, 20% in AST%, and his win share has gone from 4.9 to 1.6.

Weird statement... Serge isn't even getting the same defensive attention on his team as Vucevic and Fournier are the 2 guys other teams key on. Ibaka gets his points off spot up shots with the occasional turn around shot. Oladipo creates for himself and others granted hes playing 2nd fiddle to Westbrook. Ibaka is the 3rd option on one of the worst offenses in the NBA.

I love how Ibaka is playing but people make him out to be some all-star. Hes just a good player given his overall abilities.

Of the 3, Serge has the highest 3p%, TS%, and just trails Vooch in PER. Obviously, neither Vooch nor Evan can hold a candle to him on defense. If the Magic were to get a player to the all star game (and there is no evidence on current form that the would) it seems clear to me that the player who would deserve such a spot would be Serge -- and its not even close.

Playing with one or 2 top 5 players in the league is not guaranteed to help you putting up better numbers, just ask Serge.

Indeed. Every situation is different. To me, watching the Thunder play I think they really miss Serge -- his stretch abilities would really be helpful for them not to mention his D. However, I think it was clear he was not going to resign and they had to get someone they could lock to have a shot at keeping Westbrook. Hence, Dipo. That said, I think the Magic are clearly better with Serge than we would have been with Victor. I'm just still astounded by the Biz signing. To me having Vooch start at the 5 and Serge back up the 5 with AG getting lots of 4 minutes would have made much more sense. I think Serge's numbers would have been far better in OKC but I am very happy we got him and hope we can resign him.

Im not debating whose most deserving. There simply isn't anyone right now whose all-star caliber. Serge is the most consistent starter while in the meantime being very inconsistent. It doesn't mean much when this team is considered a bottom 5-10 team in the league.
