EP. He needs to keep coming off the bench. I think coming into the game against 2nd string guys can do wonders for him. I don't like Serge's rebounding numbers.

It's pretty crazy that Ibaka had 29 on 11-18 FG and Fournier had 23 on 11-15 FG and neither guy is really anything more than honorable mention.

Games like these make it so difficult to want to get rid of Payton. CLEARLY the talent is there, it's just a matter of being more consistent in every respect.

Today would be as good a day as ever to start being consistent!! lol I think our guys come out pumped to play the clippers. Amway should be pretty full and have more energy than usual because of the opponent .

Everybody talks about EP being more consistent but isn't that what defines an all star vs a regular player? Not easy to put on those performances vs every NBA talent out there. Last night was Schroeder and tonite is CP3. He has also had big games this year vs John Wall and Goatbrook. Obviously what holds him back is his shot and that is a big deal. If he can ever get to the point where he forces the opposition to leave the paint and go guard him on the arc, it's over.

Also EPs court vision has been so much better. That find on Meeks at the end was great. Out of Robs big three, EP is the only one who shows a sizable improvement every year. I'm telling in 2-3 more seasons he is gonna be special. It's too early to give on on the kid. Fans and our damn ownership are so impatient.

Agreed. His court vision is pretty great. If his shot becomes more consistent, it will be easier for him to find open people to as defenders won't be leaving him.

We know EP is capable of putting big time numbers, there are good numbers of players that can do it as well but can they do it conistently? That is the key for him. To me is more an attitude thing, he is such a laid back kid and he gets caught blending in too much. Will he be able to play with that edge he played with yesterday consistently? Who knows but I do like that he seems to be more feisty out there which is good, that jump situation really got him barking at the other team.

One thing I want him to tune down is the steal gambles around the 3pt line, seems like he gets burned alot on those and gives up the drive because he is out of position. He can do it at halfcourt which he has had some success but once they get to the 3pt line just play positional defense man.

Payton has so many physical gifts and that if he could just find a way to be consistent, he could be so awesome. His trajectory reminds me of a Kemba in many ways. He shows flashes, but people are down on him (with good reason), but the talent is so undeniable.

ETA: I see I'm not the only one who feels this way.
