There is clearly a capped ceiling for this roster, and we would need a trade regardless, but I can name 5-6 games off the top of my head that had it not been for horrid minute distribution, late subs, or irrational confidence in players that didn't deserve it, could've gone differently.

I just don't get Vogel at all. The season is completely over and the playoffs are out of reach but for some reason Hezonja is getting DNP's again and CJ Watson is playing more minutes than AG and Elf? His rotations have been disastrous all season. This vet fetish he has is really **** us over for the long term && I see no end in sight. He's placed player development completely on the back burner for Vets that quite possibly won't even be on the team past the deadline.

Well...their time has also increased closer to the trade deadline. I would be more concerned if this was after the deadline has passed. Can't add value to pieces if you're not letting them play either. If ... and i'm hoping none of our youngsters are traded....they don't get the minutes after the deadline I will begin to start showing some concern. But if cj and green are playing remotely well in a game.... 20+ minutes it is for them.

This isn't tanking. We are just a terrible basketball team. We are ACTUALLY trying to win and still not getting it done. We made a swing for the fences trade to obtain Serge and spent the most money we have during Rob's tenure here with the Magic. Swing and a miss by us. Tanking would presume that we are trying to lose on purpose when Vogel is doing the opposite. Vogel doesn't get forgiven for putting out horrid rotations and an inability to put together proper game plans for the team.

The 76ers actually tanked and were fortunate to land a stud in Embiid but what is overlooked is Hinkie's ability to obtain a massive amount of assets in the form of draft picks and how excellent of a coach Brett Brown is (yes his W/L record is not good but that was by design). They now have their franchise player, cap room and draft picks at their disposal. Nothing wrong with being envious about that team. I won't be convinced that we are "trying to lose on purpose" until I see what we do at the trade deadline.

Who would the Timberwolves look to lock up 1st? Towns or Wiggins? I would think Towns.

Agree!! I'll add that we need to lose on purpose even if that means trading everyone except AG, Elf, and Mario. Biz will be here because nobody wants to pay $17 million for 6 ppg 7 rpg. I mean, I want them to blow this **** up and go on a massive losing streak, so lets get Biz back in the SL.

The more the trade deadline draws closer, the more concern I'm becoming. Either way it goes, the playoffs are not in the Magic's future now. And how Hennigan will restructure this roster at the deadline will tell what will happen with the Magic after the deadline plus his standing as GM which imo is on the fence at this point.

refs helping the tank

Josh Robbins ‏@JoshuaBRobbins
The NBA's Last 2 Minute Report says Nikola Vucevic should not have been called for traveling with 24.2 seconds left in the 4th last night.

By the way depending on which posts you're reading or podcasts, etc...It's somewhat universally accepted that Minnesota has a spectacular young trio (that they should hang on to) and the best coach and extra starter-quality PG's...and their record is worse than ours...food for thought...It's chemistry that matters.

ok..But when they build that chemistry they're going to blow us out of the water in terms of talent. And its not even close.

How come everybody else's progression is a certainty? Wiggins is known to be lazy and take plays off between highlights. Levine scores empty points and doesn't have any impact on D. Thibs runs his starters into the ground, leading to injuries and late-season fatigue. Shabazz is awful. Rubio is a more expensive EP with injuries, etc...just a little more realistic criticism.

Having said that, I'd take any of their big 3 for almost anybody we got.
