Jonathan Isaac truly is a unicorn. Defensively he can step out and guard players on the perimeter and down low. Extremely versatile big. He can also step out and hit the occasional 3. He has the potential to play stretch 5. He really reminds me a lot of Ibaka.

I can't wait to see what this roster looks like with ..... oh wait

:dontknow:

On the bright side Iwundu looks like a steal.

Isaac will be so much better for this team than Ibaka. It's not even really going to be a comparison.

The bar should be much higher. Like at least outlaw impact.

I love how all the after-the-draft votes took Isaac to win the poll!

At the minimum.... what i would like to see next season. At best.... no dj or cj.... dj can stay if he becomes less trigger happy and more team oriented!

I just want to see a team that actually tries and plays with some edge but I'm not expecting many wins this season . Hopefully Isaac blows up and proves the doubters(including me) wrong ! lol I'm so scarred from the last 5 years I'm scared to be optimistic lol

If we don't plan to spend money on FA, might be best to opt in on cj s contract and use his expiring contract next feb.

My hopes for next year would be to roll out the same starting unit with Mario first off the bench for Fournier. Then Fournier subs back in to anchor the 2nd unit along with DJ, Mario, Isaac and Biyombo. Iwundu to pick up minutes here and there.

On offense play unselfish, and defense just play hard. Development wise I hope Elf shows defensive improvement and quits dying on every screen. I hope AG can shoot 33 percent from deep. No playoff mandate, just play hard and develop.

CJ for Beverley works. The rockets cut CJ and save 4 million. Then we just need a taker for DJ. That would be good for EP too because he'd have to go up against arguably the best PG defender in the league every day in practice.

Good shout on Pat Beverley. Think he'd be a good option to not only contribute on the court but also bring a bit of steel to the locker room. Decent contract as well that reduces in value over the next two years.

Will isaac play until the 2030? Maybe he is our leading scorer in our championship year

I guess that's Biyombo, unless you meant an effective defensive big who would be a good locker room influence, a hustle type guy that we could get for close to the minimum.

I wonder how long it would be before Payton lost his starting job to Beverley if we could actually get him. I'm putting the over/under at five weeks.

If Payton didn't pick up the ferocity, agreed.

I would be ecstatic if we somehow landed PBev. He shows another level of toughness and defense. Our guys could definitely learn from him.
