Yeah Porter and Luka Doncic are the two front runners right now for the first pick next year. Bamba and Ayton are close behind. Scouts right now are saying it is a four man draft next year while saying there may not be as much depth as this year's class had. But they are saying those guys especially Porter and Doncic could have went before Fultz or Ball this year. Still a lot of time for guys to make up or even lose grown so we shall see how it all shakes out. But hopefully we are back in the lottery and have a chance to pair Issac with one of these guys.

Fixed.

Jacque Vaughn till 2015
James Borrego 2015
Scott Skiles 2015-2016
Frank Vogel 2016 - current

This has caused havoc on Payton and Gordon's development. I really think stability is the key to this team getting to mediocrity.

The draft is the WORSE place to address shooting unless it's a generation shooter like Ray Allen. That's something Rob would do. You address shooting through already established FA and trades.

I think someone like Patty Mills would be perfect for us.

Yup.... the fluctuation of coaching staff definitely had an adverse effect on their growth. Every year there are different philosophies and ideals being thrown at you. That has to stunt a players growth. Vogel has a year under his belt and now has the summer to reflect on where things went wrong and how to adjust to bring out the strengths of roster.

Management realised a thing: this roster is flawed, it cannot be fixed with just 1-2 scorers. After the draft, it's obvious that we've launched another rebuilding process, hopefully a shorter one and most important, successful. We chose unique raw talent over shooting, and trades are going to happen. Don't be surprised if we're going to trade the whole roster except Gordon for young guys and draft picks.

We have no leverage, no value and we're going to suck either way, so let's just tank it right this time around and land a top 1-2 pick.

Take a chance on McLemore. Talent is still there.

Not to mention, Terrence Ross is a sharp shooter. Yea his % dipped a little bit for the magic last year. (who's didnt?)

But the guy has averaged like 38% of the for for the last 7 years......

At first I wasn't happy with the pick of Isaac as I thought he was a project. But upon further reading and watching youtube highlights, I have come around and think that he can be very good for us early.
I have no idea about Wesley Unsundu either....so not sure if he is a shooter or not.

Currently, Fournier, Meeks, and DJ are the only players that can space the floor.
Not sure what happend to Vuc's automatic midrange jump shot last year....where did it go?
We need to desperately hope that Aaron Gordon is working on his jump shot this Summer as he can get the Green Light on our team if all works out. Payton will always be a work in progress and I think should just concentrate on what he is good at...the mid-range floaters and layups (I'd rather avoid him taking jump shots unless there is 5 seconds on the shot clock left).

We should have drafted more 3 point shooters. Mario has proven that he can't shoot in a 5 vs 5 game. Maybe in practice, but he is Shaq like shooting in a real game.

Guys...I'm just venting here, but I think I bring up some good points. We need to start building a winning foundation.

I think we did add shooting. We just drafted a guy who could stretch the floor from the Center position. How many NBA teams can say they have that?

Trust the process. In the meantime, Isaac will stretch the floor for Payton and Gordon to have free lanes in attacking the basket.

Ross's role is a backup SG, emergency starter. he has had chances in Toronto and last year. he just isnt a good starter.

Not really sure. Unless we have some trades in the works, we are looking at a true rebuilding season and focusing on the young players. Either becoming part of our future or raising their value for trades.

Yeah, Meeks was a guy we brought in to address shooting.

Just hasn't been able to stay healthy.

Expect trades very soon to address the shooting and scoring needs. We dont have the cap space to shop for shooting/scoring in free agency. Not unless we trade away Biz and DJ and that will prob cost a 1st.

The problem with trading either Biyombo or Augustin is that the Magic then needs a major back up at that slot, and those all cost about the same as these two players do now.

For me trading Ross or Fournier is the path to shoring up the SF slot for a year or two (until Isaac takes off the training wheels).

Backup C are not worth 17mil per. We could have kept Dedmond for 5-6mil per.
