Funny you say Deng, I'd be interested in him as a vet, think he's a great fit, maybe we could take his contract and Jordan Clarkson now they have ball and send back Watson? or if they wanted Fournier
Orlando sends: Fournier + Vucevic + Watson + Augustine
Los Angles sends: Clarkson + Deng + Randle
Orlando
Payton/Clarkson
Ross/Hezonja
Isaac/Deng
Gordon/Randle
Biyombo/Zimmerman
LA
Ball/Augustine
Fournier/Young
Ingram/MWP
Nance Jr/Kuzma
Lopez/Vucevic
Both lineups improve, have more balance, and more depth on the benches
are you crazy? Deng? on a horrible contract and his play fell off a cliff. Clarkson is a neutral player, nothing you spend much of an asset on getting. Randle? thought we already stopped getting another PF to play in front of Gordon?
sorry, nothing about that trade makes sense
In your opinion,
Deng: Veteran and a good locker room presence and that's what he wants to do and be now. Sure he won't be as productive, but he will help the culture and team grow
Clarkson: 15/3/3 in the west are decent numbers, he'll challenge Payton and be a slightly different option, better than Augustine and window fits better. Worst case we get a good back up PG.
Randle: A draft pick with decent production but can still do more, remember he missed his first season. I'm a bi Gordon fan but we need talent. Even if Randle backs him up, AG could play some 3 or even 5, the same with Randle.
We aren't getting a Russell type player with our assets, we need to look to better long term fits and worst case we'll get 2 role players and add depth to the bench
After Noah, Deng is probably the worst contract in the NBA. We'd need a plethora of picks or something for them to dump him onto us. The best asset they give plays the same position as AG too, trade wouldn't make any sense and would just limit flexibility for three years.
