I think the Bucks were thinking ahead of the curb signing him to a declining contract when the TV deal was around the corner.

Plus, it would hard to defend Henson's contract anyway if the cap was what it was prior. A bench player who isn't a 6th man caliber making 1/5 of team payroll is pretty bad no matter how much you justify it. Bucks fans would've been all over management to move his massive contract.

Also, how does a player get better with bad hands and fouls? He's had those troubles for every year of his career for that to drastically change. That's like asking Javale McGee to play smarter. This deep into your career you are who you are.

Technically I think that goes to Bobby Bonilla and the NY Mets.

In the NBA though, Gilbert Arenas' was arguably much worse, at least Biyombo isn't likely to bring firearms t the gym and threaten his teammates. At least he doesn't seem that unhinged.

It's not even one of the 5 worst contracts in the NBA right now.

I was disappointed at the time we went for Jerome James type of FA, but I've moved on since. Seeing how things are going, it's not like we'll need cap to sign some elite FA anytime soon. At least he is humble and good teammate.

It's bad if you intend to keep him as a $17M backup. Even if we decide he's not worth that money, if we want any hope of moving him without having to give up D'Angelo Russell to get a team to swallow his contract, we've gotta showcase him.

We need to be cap cautious because we've got $64M tied up in Biz, Fournier, Vuc, Ross and Augustin over the next 2 seasons - and Elf and AG are up for extension net summer.

Having $28M tied up in the C spot just isn't smart with how either of them are currently performing. Factoring in that Vuc is a FA in 2 seasons, and he'll likely want to get paid and want to be guaranteed a starting spot, I think he's just as necessary to move as Biyombo - whether Biyombo stays or goes.
