From Bruce Bowen: Duncan was coming to Orlando until Doc Rivers refused to let his family join him on the planes

I am shocked to see no one is discussing this! If true Doc Rivers should never be allowed in the city again!!! This is so magic! :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

It’s old news. It’s been known for a few years iirc.

Yep, old news. Still one of the greatest screw ups we ever made.

Even with a hobbled Grant Hill, and if we couldn’t afford Tmac as well, Duncan/Mike Miller would’ve been good enough for ECF contention at least over those early 2000’s years.

Duncan and Tmac probably would’ve rivaled Shaq and Kobe.

What a shame.

I'm watching T-Mac and Billups on ESPN talking about Grant Hill's case for the HOF and talking about when he and T-Mac played in Orlando, and thinking what it would have been like if Grant stayed healthy. Makes me think, imagine if we got Duncan too and Orlando kept Billups and Big Ben.

Billups
T-Mac
Hill
Duncan
Wallace

Man what could have been. :o

Apparently Doc f'd it up by not allowing families or wives on team flights and a last minute meeting with the Admiral kept Duncan in San Antonio.

Jesus wow that is a multiple champion team. Maybe one of best teams in NBA history.

#fakenews

It's widely known that Tim refused to come to Orlando because we did not serve him vegetarian sandwiches during his trip here.

The cold cuts incident where they had a table all laid out with them and were told almost at the last minute he didn't eat them. So they had to run to the Wendy's across the street from the RDV to get a bunch of burgers. lol One of the main things is Tim's gf at the time just did not like Orlando. The story is that Doc's wife took Duncan's gf out and about and she sent Doc a text soon after saying "You have a problem".

Doc was in fortunate situations in Orlando and LA who has managed to blow them by making horrible personnel decision. All the horrible draft picks he pushed for and the players he decided to let go when he was here lead to Tmac leaving. He was on his way out in Boston until Ainge pulled the lucky charms and pulled the rabbit out of the hat. It was Doc himself who told Duncan's GF/former wife that he would not allow her to travel with the team when she asked. What a freaking moron, you say yes to seal the sale, idiot. What a terrible manager.
