I would strongly suggest trading with Cleveland for that brooklyn pick if possible. That pick could yield us a nice raw prospect like Diallo.

I don't think Cleveland trade that pick for anything. That's their jumpstart on a rebuild/retool once LeBron goes, and Brooklyn could take a dive into a top 5 pick at any moment.

Yeah its a tough call. But i think brooklyn is better than we are by possibly 3-5 spots.

True, but I don't think Cleveland risk the lottery potential of that pick unless they get a top flight stud player they can look to build around going forwards. You don't want to be the team that trades a pick when ends up winning the lottery (the way the Clips traded what became Irving to the Cavs for MoWill's expiring contract).

I wouldn't, if I were them.

6:24 Wesley Iwundu enters the game for Elfrid Payton 74 - 102

Yeah dude got subbed out when the game was over with 6:24 left in the game.. but okay

There was a stretch in the first half where he took over and went away from the scheduled run everything through Vuc and Simmons gameplan, which is when he racked up those stats. Second half it was back to the regularly scheduled program. This is a neutered Elfrid Payton, but he doesn't seem too bothered by it unfortunately.

Two years ago in December: 12,7ppg, 5,3 apg, 3,3 rpg, 49,7% FG, 18% for 3, 57% free throws
Last year in December 12 ppg ,6,1 apg ,3,4 rpg, 48,5% FG, 32,4% for 3, 60% free throws
This year . 11,1 ppg, 5,8 apg, 3,4 rpg, 48,% FG, 33% for 3 50% free throws

nothing changed, he stayed same, medicore player he always was. Just wait until allstar break and his usual stat padding against backups will come along

Yes, because stats tell the whole story. Sorry, but I watch the games and can tell the difference.

Stats dont tell the whole story but the dudes effort combined with the stats tell a whole lot.
EP looks like a backup most nights, a Solid PG every 9th game and some nights a G League player.
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

That's why I said this ... "This is a neutered Elfrid Payton, but he doesn't seem too bothered by it unfortunately."

Is it effort or just accepting his role and place in the hierarchy? Maybe giving up on Vogel (as most of our players seem to have done)? I guess we'll find out when he goes to another team.

They wont trade that pick since they have no guarantee Lebron will stay. It will be a top 10 pick but not a top 5 like most predicted.

I'm confused as to why you think this is a neutered EP? If anything he should be playing as hard as ever with AG EF and TRoss out with injuries. Big time players tend to want to carry that extra weight and prove their worth. If anything his true character seems to be coming out as he's ok with being just another player on the court instead of trying to step up take that lead role and show some maturity, heart and hustle.

It just looks that way. This doesn't look like an empowered player to me. Frank Vogel is our coach, so anything is possible. I don't really have the answers. I do know this situation is toxic (anyone can see that) and he'll most likely look better in a different situation.

Diallo stock will rise, he reminds me of a young Kobe! They both even have the same type of approach and weakness to their games coming in the NBA!
