We want to tank. We NEED to tank. So those guys gotta go ASAP. I personally don't want to trade them for expiring contracts unless there is a pick involved. But one way or another those guys gotta go.

I agree but some of the logic around here is flat out stupid. Like so called fans wanting vuc and fournier to fail because they have a personal bias against them. Or pretending advanced metrics mean nothing because its makes said posters completely wrong,

I usually have you on ignore because I got sick of you following me around and calling me a player fan for sticking up for Payton the SAME way you do for Vucevic lol. Actually you do it WAY more and way more vehemently. And it's fine to take jabs at a guy like Payton but don't dare to it to Vuc or feel your wrath. Payton's advanced metrics didn't matter last season. It's just funny to me that guys like you don't see how hypocritical you are and try to pretend you don't have personal biases against players AND posters.

Vučević is not the problem; Simmons and Ross are.

You honestly believe that?

Its not about tanking, its about developing. We have always played some vet or multiple vets too much, instead of developing what we have. Heck, a second rounder..a g league guy...doesn't matter, find that diamond in the rough. Nope, we had to play vets way past their prime because we were "trying to make the playoffs".

As a fan I’m tired of this team being mediocre. It’s ok to tank for one year! This is the year to do it. There are 4 (maybe 5 with Trae Young) franchise changing players in this draft, it’s time to tank!

I want all of our players to play well but in losing efforts.. so we can trade all of them for better value.

Problems of keeping guys like Vuc and Fournier is that they are good enough to help us get the 10th pick.

That’s the problem. Magic rushed their rebuild when they didn’t have any good pieces to win. Now we’re paying for it 6 years into our rebuild with no exciting prospects or surefire star. Signing veteran guys like CJ, DJ, Frye, and Mack on long term contracts does nothing to help our team. We need to develope some youth players.

Well Payne, Iwundu, Hezonja, and Artis all had 12 minutes or more in the most recent loss.

I was at the game last night.

Awful.

The team is completely dysfunctional, especially on the offensive end. Of course, that is a likely outcome when at times there were not any true NBA players on the floor playing against another bonifide nba team.

We just have to be patient for if and when the real nba players return to actually playing.

I don't know if I post enough here to have an "identity", but I'm usually positive, optimistic, and anti-tank. I've been a season ticket holder for years. My business partners shouted me down over the expense of season tickets this year and scaled back to roughly 20 games (and ONLY $21,000) because "no one cares about the Magic anymore"...

Now, I've had it...I'm absolutely disgusted with this team's chaos on the floor. I couldn't have been more excited about Vogel falling into our laps last year but when our defense is a joke and our offense is worse, it's got to come back to the coach. I understand our roster has limitations but WTF...when you have limitations, you form an identity...like "Heart and Hustle" or "Grit and Grind" or even just "Run them out of the building"...it's F'ing unwatchable! I've been supportive and empathetic, trying to follow Henny's, Vogel's and anyone else's reasons for the moves they've made-even when they didn't work. Clearly, we've got massive administrative shortcomings- even if a player's skill set fills a need (see Ibaka, Simmons, Payton, Fournier, etc) they don't click on the floor. Perhaps we need a team psychiatrist? Total mess...let's see what WeltHam can do with this sh*tshow-I'll be waiting to see (from my way overpriced club seats).

Someone come grab Hezonja for a useless 2nd round pick so I can have a new favorite team and watch him develop with a totally modern skill set.

To date the Magic has lost 53 games to injury: Gordon-7, Fournier-7, Payton-9, Ross-11, and Isaac-19.

I am not sure if this leads the league, but the Magic is averaging 1.6 players missed per game.

We've put off player development far too long in order to reach some lofty goal of winning a title before 2030(or before the owner dies).

IMO
We need to develop the future pieces the right way, using Mario as the template of what not to do. We need to build a sustainable model for winning for the next decade because this decade is lost.

Yikes on the Vucevic injury... This team is bad enough right now to rip off like 20 straight losses. Vooch was really anchoring your defense and having a nice offensive season.

Great shot to get the #1 pick. It's really what you guys need anyway.

I am guessing that Biyombo starts over Speights.

Payton/Augustin/Mack
Iwundu/Artis
SImmons/Afflalo
Hezonja/Payne
Biyombo/Speights/Birch

That's a roster capable of G-league losses.

My prediction: Orlando will not win another game until both Gordon and Fournier return.

Yeah I mean I wasn't kidding about 20 straight losses being up for grabs. With Speights in there that's as bad of a defense as you can have. And with Biyombo in there it's as bad of an offense as you can have. That lineup is crazy bad either way.

And i'm not talking trash. Sorry for you guys, injuries always derail my hornets as well. The reality is you've got a nice opportunity to pick up a stud in this draft that you very much need. Playoffs are officially off the table with the injury to Vucevic so fire up the tank
