I get the rebuild but we won 1 in 10...I'm enjoying occasional good play from our team. I own expensive tickets and I value every year of my life. Professional sports is entertainment not retirement investing. Thanks Cedric for joining me in not wanting to invest 5 more years in a crapshoot rebuild tank plan where we obsess over our own projection of an 18 year old's potential (again).

But what's the alternative? I don't want to root against my team. I love this team. But what am I supposed to do? The only way we are going to get out of this rut is to get a star player. Nobody is signing with us as a free agent even if we had the cap space. We gotta try the draft again and the best shot we have is with a high pick. Therefore we must lose to get the highest pick possible. I know we cant lose them all but I'm going to root for us to lose them all. Its the only way

Exactly! Guess Ced and Skybox want to stay in mediocrity, no playoffs, no good draft picks. Endless tailspin of disaster. :banghead:

Sucking has been great for us, been in lottery for the past 5 years, it worked so well that people want to keep sucking.

So lame, shame on you.

Sounds like a win to me. Something we rarely do these days (years).

no one is trading anything for him without his option for next year. And we cant "keep" him, it will be solely up to him and his agent if he comes back, which i cant see any reason why he would want to

I can accept that.

At least Payton has been playing well lately. I'm just trying to find things to either be hopeful or excited about, lol.

Both are SGs. Really a question should be: "was there a Oladipo trade for a SF?"

If Elf has guys that can finish around him and he plays aggressive like he did last night he does very well. He got back our two best finishers last night and it showed.

I never said tanking doesnt suck. I hate it but again I ask whats the alternative? Our lottery luck hasnt been kind but Id rather play the lottery again. Cant give up. We gotta get our star and this is the only way.

Draft may be only way for abysmal teams like we are now for no star FA will sign and no star acquired in trade would agree to resign if their contract is expiring.

Mediocre teams on other hand can hope to acquire a star in FA or even superstar through trade, which they may have a chance to keep if he pushes team to "up and coming" status. Even drafting in mid teens has a chance to land a future star through draft.

Aaron Gordon's calf was sore after returning on Thursday, but coach Frank Vogel said he should be good to go for Saturday's game vs. the Heat.

Vogel: I thought he was moving fine, so I gave him 30 minutes.

facepalm
Are you really that dull or are you trolling us?
This team literally tanked one season...we got Dipo from that tank ever since goal is to make playoffs. Our coaches hirings are the best proof.
This team never had proper tank thats why we are not even at medicority level we are below medicority yet still too good to get top 3 picks.
Trying to win got us in this mess in the 1st place and even though I hate the guy RH is gone because he didnt stick to the tank.
He made all those crappy trades that made us weaker(in retrospect) so we could try to win and please such Cedrics as you.
It worked so well for us

Vogel thinks Fournier is a natural SF after the beginning of last season when he couldn't guard the SG position.

Were is the MINUS-1 button ????

Fans get excited about their best players playing well. Orlando lost a ton of games because there was no Fournier and no Gordon.

..

Yup Ag needs players to play off of so it made sense to me that they brought him back after Fournier returned. Hopefully we don’t win many more games.
