Who are you even talking about? The only person who could've possibly been guilty of "calling you out" was Skin, because he started the "will this be AG's breakout season" thread, and he was the loudest supporter of it. I don't remember anyone calling anyone out. Actually, maybe thelead did.

I do remember that guys like you, fendilim, JF5, prizm, Rainwater all seem to lay in wait for a bad AG game just so you could pop up in that thread and deliver the "I told you so's". You say you're not a hater, but you seem to take it awfully personally that AG played well and people were in a position to possibly call you out. I think that degree of vulnerability suggests you're a little more emotionally invested in AG not overachieving than you'd like to admit.

Beyond that, I just posted in the "Give AG the max" thread explaining why a max deal for him likely won't even hurt us even if he drops off a cliff and regresses from here on out. So if you're scared about it, you shouldn't be. We can afford to take the chance on him and still be in a position to draft new talent and eventually sign big name FAs by the time big name FAs actually become available.

Funny when it comes from guy who went on blocking rampage, deliting comment because people were critical over 7 turnovers ,35% FG game . Sorry but your objectivity went out of window after that day in my eyes ( and in eyes of few other people here ).

yea sure, having somebody on Wiggins type salary won't hurt you at all ,especially when team already has no salary space to sign starting level SG and if they don't draft PG ,they won't even have money for starting level PG.

Btw literally nobody said today that he had bad game, yet you still cry how he is "new scapegoat". Did he forced one stupid shot and missed free throw? Yes. But he had good game overall. But in your eyes, everything that isn't comparing him to Lebron is viewed as negative.

What exactly do you have a problem with? I feel like a lot of people around here simply don't watch the games or don't remember what Gordon's game looked like a year ago... or two... or three. The shots aren't falling the way they were early in the season, but he is evolving and improving rapidly. He is doing things that he wasn't capable of doing earlier in the season. He is doing things people were saying he would never be capable of doing at this point last year.

Problem is with some of the posters who teeter between the hypocritical line. The high expectations of a certain player than the deflection once he fails or plays subpar basketball for a extended period of the season. I.E. it Vogel, Fournier, or Vucevic the reason why AG is not playing well. Yet, those excuses can't be brought up as to why Fournier or Vucevic aren't succeeding themselves since they're playing on the same roster/team or Vogel who is coaching a talentless squad.

It's fair to question the value of Gordon's next contract. It's fair to discuss his shot selection.

That's part of the problem... Defenders didn't want to max out Oladipo/Harris yet they're willing to do that with Gordon who is probably playing around/slightly below those guys. Why should he receive the max if those guys did not and he's not exactly playing at a consistent level which would even warrant that?

It's really silly to argue that Gordon is a beta male that wants to be an alpha or that he is trying to assert himself as this team's star even though he will never be "number one" on offense. Some of the crap I have to read from people that obviously aren't watching the games is just absurd.

He's the best that we've got at this point and I don't have much of a problem with him chucking right now. (Though I wish he'd stay within himself once his shooting has reached a troubled area).

We're watching a young player develop right in front of our eyes. He will go through growing pains. Given how rapidly his game is developing, it's nonsensical to speak about his game in absolutes. I will start worrying about Gordon when he stops improving.

Its called projections... This is what the NBA draft is based off of... 1st Pick of the draft is projected to be a future NBA Star while the last pick in the draft is projected to be a bench warmer/NBA reject. Players can always surpass your projections that you have, but its a way to help construct rosters.
