I agree with this, but Conely is a bit of an exaggeration. Bledsoe is literally the player we need aside from all his injury concerns.
We need a player that's not a liability on defense (Augustine every game and partially Elfrid) and a player that can hit the open 3 (not Elfrid). It would also help if he was a willing passer and knew how to break down a defense.....Bledsoe is that player wether anyone wants to agree and he can be had at a discounted rate.
Sure Augustine gets hot ever so often, but we need consistency. We're playing great because certain players have been consistent.
Players that should be on the block.
- Ross (I enjoy our depth, but if we can get a player like Dudley back in a Bledsoe trade then you do it and obviously promote Simmons)
- Augustine (for obvious reasons)
- Payton (ONLY if warranted)
- Hezonja/Biyombo/Iwundu/picks
Realistic players we should be looking at as a backup or starting
- George Hill
- Eric Bledsoe
- Schroeder
- Collison
- Dragic
- Holiday
I feel as we need to demonstrate we can compete THIS year so we can gain some interest around the league. We don't need to gut our team by any means, but if a difference maker can be had for the right price you do it, its simple as that. You ALWAYS try to get better.
So you don’t want Payton but you want Schroeder?
Again, only if its warranted.
Current Schroeder is better than current Payton by all measurements and I might even say has way more upside. He's practically the same age and is locked up on a good contract. He's a knuckle head sure, but put him on a team full of vets and a coach like Vogel and I'm sure he'll turn it around.
Schroeder is currently averaging 22ppg/1.8stl/6.8 assists a game and sporting a cool 22.6 per. Let's not act like he's some marginal player.
Lol! He is avg 22 ppg on 20 fga per game shooting 43% from field and 28% from three
