False alarm. Woj says the deal fell apart.

Yeah, we dont need to bring in Henson to move Vuc when we already have Biyombo and Birch.

Who are also no where near as good as Vuc. This is exactly what I’m talking about. Wtf? Birch is likely a career 2nd/3rd string center.

Probably because a better deal surfaced.

So strange rumor says Magic and Clippers were talking Blake Griffin deal. Which likely meant AG was going to be included.

Does Van Gundy jump on the Blake Griffin deal as a brilliant way to stop us from trading Fournier by taking a potential trade partner away from us and the guy we wanted? Unlikely, but I'd give SVG the nickname "badass" if he did it because we spurned his Fournier deal.

Lack of news this week is troubling, 1 week out. Most of the names being shopped have already leaked.
I'm getting a sinking feeling that we will not be blowing it up at the deadline. Management might make a smaller deal, thinking we need Ross and Isaac back to evaluate this team healthy. :noway:

Vuc being better than those 3 has nothing to do with what I posted. You dont bring in John Henson when you already have two John Hensons.

Word is it has to do with his final year option. He wants CHI to pick it up before being traded, so he has that security blanket. He has final say where to be traded and probably said he'd decline if CHI didn't pick up his option before being traded to NO. NO probably didn't want that final year of salary.

Yes of course Blake is the most valuable part of the trade, but in 3 years LAC could be counting their lucky stars because that Blake deal has the potential to be horrid. His deal is HUGE and there's a lot of risk! I'm actually glad our inquiry about Blake in trade didn't go anywhere!

That depends on what we'd given up, right?

I'd do AG, DJ, plus the top 4 protected 1st for Griffin and scraps

It would only be the start but we'd be left with Elfrid, Fournier and Vuc as valuable trades pieces. Once you have one allstar its easy to sell others on joining.

I'm not going to say you're trade offer is too much, but I wouldn't do it. Id rather have Gordon and the 1st than Griffin. I'm just not high on Griffin as I live in the LA area and have watched plenty of his games, and heard all of his criticism on the radio. The guy just doesn't win, and his drive is questionable. Also, Efl, Fournier and Vuc may be our most valuable trade pieces, but that doesn't mean that they will get a good return. We're currently trying to trade them, and so far we haven't made any trades. WHY? Is it because we are being low balled, or the packages in return don't meet the direction of the team? Makes me wonder...

Thats funny about the radio thing, I live in New England... the Brady jock riding can be a bit much.
let paid professionals do their job, don't you try and do it for them...

Just saw that AG is out for tonight's game in Houston. Anyone wonder if his health issues will play a factor in this offseason's decision?
