You’d be the perfect tanking coach then. Have you applied yet?

When Vuc comes back we’re going to see AG find his rhythm due to getting better looks which will increase his efficiency because he won’t need to create his offense as much. Also we’re going to see better spacing so imo Mario should be able to continue his trend.

I’m really hoping Isaac can get some burn second half of the season.

This team finds it self on the treadmill AGAIN. Not good enough to be a playoff threat and refusing to go all in on the tank so I’ve accepted that we’re not going to get a difference maker in the draft. So I might as well pull for them to win as many games as possible.

Speights, birch and mack lead the team in +/-... pretty sure they're the only guys in the +. Afflalo is hit or miss, but with EP gone he is going to get a little more minutes. Vogel is not tanking.[/quote]

To agree: Augustin is not a starting caliber PG in the NBA. Trading Payton, a top-15 PG, means the Magic have no stability at the most critical NBA slot.

Orlando is not tanking; Orlando is simply a bad team.

Lol is payton killin it right now or something?

Guys always play at another level when they’re traded. This has been especially the case with Payton the last few years. Give it the rest of the season for the Suns fans to have the same complaints.

We had no stability at the most critical NBA slot BEFORE he was traded. A starting PG who is a terrible shooter and defender is nowhere close to "stability". Top 15 for Payton is very debatable. He definitely is not one of the Top 15 point guard in terms of value. There are a lot of young point guards who aren't better than Payton yet, but most teams would want way more.

If we were tanking Afflalo and Mo would be waived ( so they could pursure the ring)and we would pick up players from G league and play them...like 76ers did few seasons ago.Whoever thinks we are tanking is out of his/her mind but it will be clear soon when AG and Vuc come back.

I really like Payton as a person, but I don't miss him here at all. It is time for change. That was just step 1.

The Suns will still suck with Payton. He will not fix the fact that the starting lineup only really has 1 great shooter in it.

Vogel is trying to keep his job. We're definitely not tanking...we just suck.

I still think the Magic are not going to be able to tank. This was my issue preseason. I saw them competing for an 8th spot, which is why I never got on board the tank train until the season went south.

I am not sure how you cripple this team more without forcing guys to sit. They could stagger lineups and rest "veterans", but we are one of the younger teams in the league already, so that doesn't even work.

If Isaac, Vuc and AG come back, we are in trouble. I can't see us losing at the clip we were at before.

Simmons has been our tank commander, making really bad plays to end games. But he probably gets moved back to the bench. I would put Mario in at SF, but that does nothing to help the tank either.

Hate to say this, but we need "injuries" of some sort to Vuc and Evan and then we just need to roll out lineups that are like DJ/Mario/Isaac/AG/Birch - except that's actually a good lineup, ugh.

Maybe we play Isaac at C, but Vuc is healthy plus we have Birch. I don't know what to do honestly.

DJ
Mario
Simmons
Speights
Biz

Prepare for losses.

It won’t happen though. Everyone knows we are destined for picking 7-9.

There is no point debating Payton any longer. The point is Orlando is a bad team right now and losses like this one with the Bulls is an expected result.

The Magic is bad at two positions: PG and SG. Having no competence in the backcourt, really it is amazing the Magic is even competitive in games.

This is why I'd kill to land either Young or Doncic. Can't remember how long it's been since we've had an impact guard prospect that doesn't require developing a jumpshot.

Man.. I'm starving. What was I thinking at dinner ? "Do you want soup or salad?" Both.. Always order both..

I am greedy and imagine a Magic team with both Young and Dončić. Alongside Isaac, Gordon and Vučević, that is a very formidable team from 2020 and onward!

You see Gordon as the 3 and Isaac as the 4?
