What did he do before that made him a joke? Just curious.

He's a town drunk. So is his kid. Pretty common knowledge among the locals.

Oh, well I live here in Central Florida and I don't really remember that. Thanks for answering though.

If the Magic had been mostly injury free, I think a 35-40 win record was plausible. I am not sure most fans of this board would have been happy with that natural growth and progression towards the playoffs. A 35 win season is the opposite of tanking, after all. I would have thrilled as it would have meant there is a core on this roster.

My concern with the injuries is that management cannot really evaluate the team-aspects of the individual talents. As such, by default I see two starters moving on. And that's why ex-coach Vogel needed to move on.

Vogel tried alot of lineups, but I feel like he ultimately failed to get young guys some time together. Mario, Issac, Gordon. There were times things were working and then he'd yank Mario after one mistake. It was like Vogel was trying to win and by doing so was so bad at it, that it caused us to lose chemistry and games. The guy himself said he tried to incorporate a system that wasn't designed to win in today's NBA. We need guys that are innovative and putting in a system that can win and develop our young guys.

Nick Nurse FTW!!!!

What other coaches developed and polished for many years now, testing it in D League, Vogel was doing during his 2 years here. If he had some brilliant assistant maybe he would succed but he didnt and he is not exactly known for designing offensive and defensive system. I think Wittman was hired to help him with that task.
What will we have in charismatic coach like stack if he cant make adjustments to Nurse system? We can try to find genius assistants for him but will they agree to work under him, and will they develop and teach the system as good as Nurse?
From what i read Nurse is a mentor for Stackhouse we could hire them both like we did with John and Jeff.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Me too I had not heard this. I don't hang around those circles. Still doesn't change that he is right about Martins.

I know him and his sons. It's not true. Ignorant comment to throw out there. You don't have to like him but he does a lot of good in our community that he doesn't put on the billboards...Small people like to have "stories" about big people. Stick to being wrong about basketball or find another forum.

Sure bud. Sounds like you probably are his employee. If you look up to Morgan that much, the only small person is you.

Bud, let’s agree to disagree (with me being the guy who actually knows them)...this has no place on these forums anyway.

...and I don’t work for him and never have.

That's fine. I know some of them as well. I probably should not have posted anything about it, but I also don't need the personal insults thrown at me either. We can leave it at that. :usa:
