From Pop to Vogel, big difference, I'm sure he could be the signing we thought with the right coach

PrimeShaq wrote:Evan is not the problem. Nor was Dipo, Tobias, or anyone else that we have let go through the years. The real problem is Vuc. He doesn't protect the rim, he can't consistently establish position in the post, he pouts, he consistently takes the worst shot in the game (long 2), and despite the stats he puts up, he never actually makes any real impact on the game in my opinion. His +/- and offensive/defensive ratings during his time here help to back that up. I truly believe that it is time for Vuc to go.

He could be a good piece on a playoff contending team with 1-2 superstars but he is not a top 2 option and I think he will always think he should be that while he is playing for us. I say we trade Vuc this offseason and see what we have in Birch. There are some great SG prospects at the top of the draft next season so if we secure a top 3 pick in 2019, we can wait to make a decision on Evan come draft time.
Vuc had been the conmon denominator since we have started our rebuild.

Man does this make Fournier look cheap:

Wesley Matthews Exercises $18.6M Player Option With Mavericks

Even out of position, Fournier was better up and down the stat line

Just realised hat Fournier has 6 straight years of ever increasing scoring averages.

I keep proposing Evan trades...not because he's bad, but because he has value. I'd really like to see Vuc gone with Mack and possibly Ross or Simmons, in a package for a player but if Evan has to be included, so be it.

What I mean is, I would be not unhappy to see Evan starting next year on the Magic...as long as there are other significant changes to our lineup.

I think he deserves a chance with a proper creator. He is crafty and smart, he is only player on our team who can make significant adjustments mid season. With proper coaching with his length he can be average defender.

I've got people I'd prefer, but you can make a very strong case for a guy who scored 18ppg, inside and out, plays with fire...and all within the scope of this recent, system-less, disjointed mess of a dumpster fire....so, not hard to project that he could easily hit for 20ppg just playing off of a guy that draws more attention and can pass a little (Trae?)(Kemba?).

I will go further: if Fournier had played in position at SG this year, he would have been a 20 ppg player. That he sacrificed his stat lines because of fatal flaws in the Magic roster should be supported, not criticised.

Go magic

Evan said that we fired everyone (even the cooking team lol)

He predicts that the new coach will be stackhouse

He says that he wouldnt be surprised if 3/4 of the team wasnt here next season

Rookie preference: doncic

interesting, Doncic could replace him, I wonder if he knows something about the coaching situation that obviously we wouldnt, maybe Stack has always been the guy but they have to interview others and do their due diligence

If the Magic lotto-luck in to Dončić, then a Fournier trade seems obliged. Maybe Augustin, Fournier, and Orlando's 2019 and 2021 1st's for Charlotte's Walker and spare parts.

Fournier is very undervalued here. Running the offense through him and Vuc without a decent PG is a recipe for disaster.

I have been pushing the idea of Marcus Smart as a free agent target for some offense / defense at the PG / SG spots with he and Evan.

Then you trade Vuc and draft a SF (MPjr or Bridges) or a big man and get creative with the rotations around a newly resigned AG.

There are plenty of plot holes on this scenario but what separares it from so many others here is that it is realistic.

I am on record that Vučević is also undervalued. But I am now sold that Payton was the core problem for both (as well as Fournier being out of position all year).

If the Magic replay the year with Fournier exclusively at SG and starting Augustin at the point with Payton as the primary back-up, ......
We will never know.

Well Biyombo is a useless piece of **** who should refund his pay check. nobody’s dumb enough to take on that garbage.

He'll do better once he's starting. The lack of shooting in our second unit this year made him look worse than he is

No he wont. He was given opportunities to start and he was still garbage.
