Isn't that strange? I get drafting defensive measurables, but you can teach defense - not so much natural offensive/playmaking ability. Good defense is mostly just working as a team + heart and hustle. Really hoping we go offense this year.

if you can teach defense, why are so many players still so bad at it? even star players, still bad at it.

Because they are able to get by and get paid by mostly working on offense. Need a coach and system that forces defensive intensity and accountability.

Sadly, when you have that, the players rebel and that coach is out quickly.

Lonnie is going to be a huge steal come draft night. I love his total package and I would love to trade up mid draft to get this kid.

No thanks. His hair puts me off.
Basketball players concerned too much with this hair is a big turn-off...see Elfrid Payton.

NEXT...

Not a concern for me, a hairstyle won't prevent me from drafting a talent guard like Lonnie.

Love Lonnie walker, he reminds me a lot of Oladipo, extremely athletic and some people tell me even though he's still a freak athlete he was even freakier before his knee injury.

Yes, Walker is a guy the Magic could REALLY use. I am hoping they try and trade up and get him.

Would not be the worst thing in the world, unless Doncic was there, and then I would be crushed.

But Ayton can score the ball. He has his faults on defense but I still think this is a guy we see putting up some serious numbers in the NBA. At pick 2, Ayton is pretty much the guy assuming Doncic is gone. He played a lot of PF in college, and I think if you had him play the rim protector role, he would be a lot more effective, especially with Isaac next to him helping on the weakside.

My sleeper Mario replacement is Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk. I hope we can snag him with one of our second rounders.
