You must be absolutely livid
Im not happy. I think Bamba has potential and has the look of a pretty good player but we keep acting like we are still in 2001 and the league has evolved so much since then. We do nothing with by far our largest weaknees, wing play and PG play and 3pt shooting. No chances taken with trades for mid or late 1st rounder. Essentially drafted the same type player as last year with the 2nd rounders, long arm guys with limited skill. When was the last time we drafted a player with a developed offensive skillset? No moves to clear logjam at Center. This team has been so boring to watch, its torturous. Another year of laboring just to score 90. Im sure Bamba will make so nice plays with that length but overall the offense will be worse than nails in a chalkboard.

This is how I feel too. Bamba was the correct pick, but it didn’t solve anything that has made this team bad in the first place. I’m praying trades are on the horizon to make sense of this.

Who gives an F what the league looks like now because the league can look really different in 2020 and beyond. It could be dominated by big men with perimeter skills like Davis embiid porzingis and possibly Bamba. You take the best players available and screw the fit because the only 2 maybe 3 players on this team that matter at all are Issac AG and Bamba. You guys need to get it in your head that we are still rebuilding and it’s a process. Weltman said it perfectly “we are rebuilding the right way not the fast way”. If you accept that it will be easier if you. Don’t watch if it makes you angry. Even if we were ready to push for playoffs now why does that make any sense? We would just get the snot beat out of us by GS or which ever team LeBron plays for. Rebuild completely the next two years with two more top 5 picks then hopefully LeBron will be retired or slowing down and hopefully GS will be on the downward tragetory too.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Also going to say the worst mistake the magic made in last rebuild is when we tried to accelerate and push for the playoffs when we clearly weren’t ready

The old classic adage: Rome wasn't build in a day. Neither was the Magic as they try the quick build approach. Now this team put themselves back at least three years towards building a successful team. This time moving forward, they have to get it right.
