With Hezonja saying playing time is the main thing he'll look for a a FA, why don't we offer him the starting point guard role?
I heard the Knicks with Steve Perry have already met with and they like Hezonja, so we act quickly before we possibly lose him to the Knicks!

He can’t really dribble, nor does he have Great court vision. He hasn’t played PG since Skiles. His best position is probably small-ball PF. That’s how he flourished this past season, by beating bigger, slower guys off the dribble.

Re: Let's Talk About Mario
I'd say our best shot at Mario is if we sign and trade a pissed-off AG for a Point Guard and promise Mario starting SF minutes. If I'm Mario, I'm gone tho- it probably feels nice to be recruited by other teams and told how badly he was misused and how he could flourish in their featured role...(and they wouldn't be lying, IMO).
I wouldn't trade AG just to get Mario, of course...I'm just saying that could be the fallout if the AG situation goes that way.
AG>Mario today
Mario's ceiling>AG's ceiling, potentially...I still worry about AG's mental ceiling. Mario's is kind of unknown at this point

Ed Davis, who's a solid player only got 4.4M .... I think it comes down to how much playing time we can promise him

Um, no. You must have been watching a different team. If anything, he looked at his worst when randomly thrown in as a 4 against obvious much bigger and stronger power forwards, although he did a great job of adjusting as the season went on.
Almost all of the great games Mario had last season were as a wing player, with the ball in his hands, and play-making by using his court vision... and dribble-drives were some of his main weapons. I think you're wrong, he's clearly a wing and showed tremendous improvement in his dribbling when he finally got freedom this year, and I think his court-vision speaks for itself if you just watch some of the highlight passes he has thrown to AG.
But no.. lets make him a under-sized power forward instead of using his height as a wing to our advantage and working on that.... trying to neuteur the man, classic Magic

Are you a Magic fan? I say this because it honestly does not seem like to you watched any games and I sadly watched like 74 (a couple games didn’t air in Tampa).
Mario’s best games when he looked like an NBA player were when he was a stretch-4 and able to take advantage over slower, bigger players.
He scored 28 against the Pistons with this starting lineup: Vucevic-Mario-Simmons-Mack-DJ.
He scored 16 against the Wizards with this starting lineup:
Vucevic-Mario-Simmons-Iwundu-Payton.
He scored 20 against the Heat with this starting lineup:
Biyombo-Mario-Simmons-Fournier-Payton
He had a 3-game stretch of 23, 24, and 21 against the Bucks, Bulls, and Hornets with this starting lineup:
Biyombo-Mario-Simmons-Fournier-DJ
So I have to ask, what are you talking about? Watch the games friend. Mario’s best games were at the 4. No one that knows anything about Mario or Magic basketball would disagree.

The reason they have to play him as a stretch 4 is because his handle stinks (although gotten slightly better) and he can't take small forwards off the dribble. Similar with AG, couldn't really create offense at the 3 the prior season. Mario also wasn't good guarding wings, so I think Vogel did it so he didn't have to deal with that foot speed on defense as well. Dribble-drives were not one of his weapons imo.
