More extensive footage on Melvin
As i didn't watch Melvin at all i'm kinda surprised how much he had the ball in his hands initiating a lot of actions in that offense. Pretty good first step and he seems to project well as a slasher, not afraid of contact and mixing it up. Athletically, what can i say he is a high level athlete not quite "head at the rim" but pretty close i'd say and with his pretty good first step he has some posters in his future.
Jumpshot needs work though, doesn't seem consistent to me sometimes he releases the ball in front of his face and sometimes behind his head. Decision making at times offensively can be iffy, driving into a crowd.....but fortunately at least based off this video he doesn't really take bad shots most of the time. Defensively, dude is a HAWK and what i like the most is that he doesn't really gamble....sticks to you like white on rice and waits until YOU make the mistake not him which shows good coaching and that he's coachable. Nothing more to say really defensively as this aspect of his game is obviously where his bread is buttered, he'll hang is hat on his defense.
Bottom line is i honestly think we might have gotten a 1st round talent in the second round, i'm trying hard not to get too excited and temper expectations but like others have said in this thread i feel good about Frazier.......now lets move on to Jackson.........
i got nothing
