Is it too homerish to say Isaac has Anthony Davis potential?

Similar size profile, both are terrific athletes with elite agility, and both are great defenders. Once Isaac fills out, they'll have similar physical tools and if Isaac's shot continues to improve, it could be as good as ADs if not better.

Not really, AD took most of his strides between summers, why can't Isaac do the same thing? I get that he was no where near the prospect AD was coming out, but I think Isaac definitely has a chance to be that good.

Ive actually given this comparison quite alot of thought in the past. This was a post I had in the thread I made about Isaac when we drafted him:
Spoiler:
The Anthony Davis and Jonathan Isaac comparison is interesting. I was digging through their college stats the other day and their was some parallels that I found intriguing. Both of them grew 9 inches in their last couple years of high school giving them unique offensive skillsets, and both of them are elite long and athletic defenders. Isaac averaged about 12 ppg and 8 rpg in 25 minutes in the ACC while Davis averaged 14 points and 10 rpg in about 33 mpg against lesser competition in the SCC. Davis at the combine measured out at 6'10, with a 7'5 wingspan, and 9 inch standing reach while Isaac a year ago (Very well could be an inch taller with a longer wingspan since he didnt measure at the combine like Davis) measured out at 6'10 and a half, with a 7-2 wing span, and a 9 inch standing reach.

Isaac and Davis clearly separate themselves in two main areas as a prospect coming out of college. Davis is the far superior shot blocker and is one of the best weve seen coming out of college averaging close to 5 a game while Isaac averaged 1.5. Isaac though is the much better shooter shooting 34% from 3 and 78% from the line while Davis shot 15% from 3 and about 70% from the line. With Davis averaging significantly more minutes the per 40 minutes are a better indicator. Davis averaged 17ppg, 13rpg, 1.5 apg, 1.7 spg, and 5.8 bpg. while Isaac averaged 18 ppg, 12 rpg, 1.8 apg, 1.8 spg, and 2.3 bpg.

While Davis is the better prospect, I think its alot closer than some would think. I think Isaac brings some things with his 3pt shooting that Davis didnt out of college and will be able to rival him as a overall defender and rebounder. My overall takeaway is that if Isaac had played for Kentucky, many people would have had him as a top 2 or 3 lock for this draft.

People can just completely write it off and that's fine, but I could see how you would make the comparison. I actually think now that Davis is an interesting comparison for Bamba. Bamba has said that he has been studying Davis's game and both of them have freak measurements and a similar skillset on both sides of the ball. I'm not going to say that Bambas ceiling is quite as high, but I still think its interesting to think about nonetheless.

I love Isaac. I’m super excited about Isaac. I do believe there is potential for a few all-star appearances and / or DPOY consideration.

But!!

Yes, AD or KD comps are too homerish.
