The thread was actually started by a Cleveland fan that came to the Magic forum trying to pawn off your JR Smith and Tristan Thompson garbage...
Aint my garbage and your garbage is still trashier

Yeah. It's not your trash. I'm sure you are referencing some other JR Smith in your handle?

I'm generally highly critical of both Fournier and Vucevic, but at least they are reliable when it comes to knowing what the score is.

You came into a Magic forum and responded in a thread about a trade proposal posted by a Cleveland fan and accused the Magic fans of trying to pawn off their garbage...

Your attempt to troll failed miserably. Your best course of action is to slink away.

You can’t blame a person with that handle for thinking he had the lead in this trade...

Fournier is a better asset than people think, or would like to believe.

That being said, I would still probably do this trade because Orlando isn’t going to be competitive in free agency for a few years. Therefore, having Vuc expire sooner doesn’t matter as much IMO.

TT and JR at +2 years is a better timeframe for developing Bamba and Isaac and then going into free agency. Vuc’s value won’t give back much return and it would be difficult to find a trade for Fournier at his contract.

Sexton has a lot of questions around his game, but there is also no way Cleveland does this deal in their rebuild state.

I hink acquiring an asset like Sexton is intriguing, no doubt..
But there are just too many variables in this trade.

Are we looking to add more payroll? Recent trades have shown that we have actually tried to lower the payroll and get 5 million usd cash considertions.

Do we want TT and JJ Smith around the young guys? Weltman and Hammond have been highly critical of players with good character.

Management traded ELF, a PG who cant shoot. Sexton is the same.

Are all of this worth Colin Sexton?

I think it all depends on where managements priorities are currently. In this hypothetical scenario, I think taking the risk on Sexton outweighs what Fournier and Vuc mean to this team’s future. Especially on a rookie deal, and that can’t be overstated.

Orlando will undoubtedly be bad regardless of Vuc/Fournier being on the team. We are still in asset acquisition until there is some semblance of a roster that makes sense. I too disliked Sextons questionable shot, but it’s worth risking veteran upside and getting back a plus asset for Vuc is a win.

Orlando trades Augustin, Briscoe and next year's first for Bradley and the rights Gilgeous-Alexander.

The Clippers trim salary and roll the dice on a draft upgrade. Orlando trades for the PG of the future without surrendering much.
