All of you haters have to chill. He is not obligated to sign here.

Just like you not being obligated to take every job offer from another company. You have to consider everything.

Timma is at or around his prime and he probably would make more money overseas.

Could he play in The NBA? maybe but when your in your prime, you got to go where the money is so I do not blame him for his comments.

We will see what happens in a few years.

Not hating on Timma at all for his decision.

He’d be looking at the minimum to come over here and he’d almost certainly (unless he’s a lot better than we all realize) not see consistent minutes.

Might as well stay in Europe where the money is higher and you’re going to get a consistent 20-25 minutes a night.

Not everyone is motivated to play in the NBA and that’s perfectly ok.

Pragmatically Timma would be looking to come to the Magic as a 29yo for the 2020/21 season. The Magic should be a playoff team in two-years time and Timma could be a perfect bench player.

At 3-6M a year on a 3-year deal, I could see Timma coming in as a key 6-8th man role. As he was acquired as an asset for almost nothing, this could emerge as a perfect synergistic relationship.

Makes sense for him. If he stays in Europe now he makes more money than making a min salary here, and he gets plenty of playing time, here there would be no guarantee of playing regularly.

Remember when Henny traded for Timma right before the draft... We thought he was trying to make a move that would help Porzingis have a fellow countryman on the team, to help him adjust to living in Orlando... and actually come over after we drafted him?

Then we missed on Porzingis and drafted Hezonja and Henny said, "We got our #1 target in the entire draft."

For shame....
