Trade For Hamidou Diallo?

Post#1 » by T-Cat » Sun Sep 16, 2018 1:11 pm

I still can't figure out why Orlando passed up on this kid in the draft! He has high energy, toughness, ability and not to mention an offensive awareness that both Frazier Jr and Nappy Wesley Snipes lack!

Hopefully we can pry him away from OKC before his value gets too high! :D

What are you willing to give up for him though? There's something wrong with this guy, IMO. Projected as a lotto last year, turned out to be meh.

There's nothing wrong with him, he just got less opportunity to shine playing with Kevin Knox, SGA and PJ Washington!

Yes he was inconsistent but his potential reminds me of a young Kobe Bryant!

Hopefully we can trade T. Ross for him along with OKC's TPE!

hmmmmm.... :o .... wow smh

but... why is this a topic/thread... i thought there was an article or something. we didn't pick him and there has to be a reason why the andrew wiggins clone has fallen. as said above.... when he came out first.... he was being touted as a 1st rounder.... and came out a year later when he was to prove himself and he has dropped essentially 30 spots. there must be more beyond the numbers and the athleticism.

I don’t see him much different than Frazier. I know he had a better summer league but I wanna see a full season from Melvin. I’m optimistic he has some talent.

I was a big fan of Frazier before the draft. I don't know how his offense will go but he has the potential to be an elite defender, imo.

Hami had a good SL but had some major feel concerns and his defense was abysmal at times apparently.

Frazier didnt show in summer league that he could spell defense let alone play it, and his offense was horrible

That certainly is concerning to hear, I didn't see much of the Magic in SL, but in college he seemed to have incredible instincts on top of his physical prowess on that end. It's a red flag to hear that but I don't want to write him off just because of a poor rookie SL. We'll see.

4 games :
25 mpg
5,5 ppg
28% FG
0-6 for 3
2,5 TO
0,8 apg
2,5 rpg

He needs to put his body under control and play with some brain, he looks like overly excited dog when he sees ball ( not wanting to insult anybody just find reaction similar)

I expect him to spend majority of rookie year in G league, hopefully he won't be Iwundu's twin brother

funnies part of his game in SL was fact that he yelled like crazy whenever he did something positive
