Tropical Weather

Post#1 » by basketballRob » Fri Sep 7, 2018 4:01 pm

Looks like Hurricane Florence could be really devastating for the east coast of the U.S.. Closer to Florida it looks like invest 92l which will become either Helene or Isaac later today could be taking an Irma type path.

Looks like North Carolina-Virginia are could take a direct hit by a major hurricane.

Just remember that the 5 day forecast has a cone of about 500 miles of possibility, which is why models and paths can change so drastically over a few days.

In reality we won't have a good idea where it's really heading until mid-next week.

Checking the latest advisory and another low ahead of Florence popped up. The tropics are blowing up right now!

I think Florence could end up being the first 100 billion dollar storm. Hopefully the people evacuate, they don't build houses up there like they do in Florida.

Another storm in the Gulf looks like it's taking the same path as Harvey did.

It'd be really great if my first summer in my first house was hurricane free. Hoping those ones behind Florence just spin up into the north.

Looks like the Carolinas could get some more bad weather soon. Believe it or not I think that's the remnants of Isaac that formed a sub tropical system.

The latest Michael forecast has it as a major hurricane.

Those hurricanes are creating good surf at New Smyrna Beach, I bodysurfed Tuesday and Thursday of last week and today. Sad that quite a bit of people missed out on the surf last week through today.

This storm showed up out of nowhere and built up the wind speed quickly.
