But yes, his offensive game has not shown any progress in his 4 years in the league, last night only showed that it might be 5 years straight. But he has developed into a good catch and shoot player.

Yea ive noticed he never launches off one foot for a while now. I’m not very hopeful that his ability to attack off the dribble will ever be as good as we hope despite his physical tools.

I think it’s a little unfair to say his offense hasn’t progressed though.. his perimeter shooting has definitely improved which is a major positive. I still think he projects to be a good starter to possible all star. The team construction is a bit tough for him to be fully optimized though. He’s best served as a complimentary player no doubt but he’d be a damn good one next to a star.. I agree with an earlier poster he’d be a force on the rockets

Every 3 and D player would be really good playing with the Rockets though. They even managed to revive Gerald Greens career.

Im glad I wasnt the only one who noticed this, I was just listening to a podcast around draft time and, if I`m not mistaken, people were saying this about Donovan Mitchell. And they were surprised how Donovan managed to improve this during one offseason. It really helps on explosiveness. Even Gordon`s dunk contest dunks were off two feet.

There’s nothing wrong with exceptional 3&D guys/role players though, championships cannot be won without them. I think some are better than others too and it’s not necessarily a bad thing to be labeled as one. AG has great physical tools that not many NBA players have. We likely won’t see him in this role on this team as constructed however.

Gerald Greens career has been revived multiple times too lol

I am not saying AG is going to be the next Lebron, but AG is becoming a good 2nd option. He isn't a 1st option and thats the problem, but he is still REALLY young. Lets not make the same mistake we made with Oladipo and stick a fork in him before he blossoms.

This is what is bothering me just because you are young and talented does not mean you are the next Victor especially when you don't have half the skills and have shown so little growth. His game so far looks the same as last year.

Just being honest but Aaron Gordon is not a 2nd option he is a role player just like every other player on the magic maybe with the exception of Isaac and Mo, he should be a 4th option or 5th option on a good team. When i think of second options I think of klay, Lowry, Griffin; AG is no where near them in terms of abilities. Yes, AG will get his points in Orlando (and if similar to last year likely inefficiently) but that is not saying much when there are no other options and the team will be pretty bad.

So wait, Isaac isn't a role player? The guy who can barely stay on the floor due to his weak ankles and when on the floor passes the ball like its a hot potato? AG is a lot better than just a role player.

Lol Isaac is literally and a younger unknown in his second season. Aaron on the other hand is in 5th season where in a league the avg career life span is 4 years. What i mean is by the 4th season most teams know what a player will be. And other then his 3 point shot, which got closer to the mean towards the end of last season, has shown little growth. He still can't dribble, he still settles quite a bit, not the best defender and he got less efficient. If he has not improved and has no elite skills how is he more then a role player?

And please don't mention Victor. AG is not Victor. What happened to Victor was an anomaly. People need to stop using Victor to defend AG.

Its just not the fact he is a 3 and D type player but also the rockets would make use of AG's love to come off curl routes and catch and shot situations. And having a PG like CP3 will also definitely make use of AG's athletic abilities like chris did with Blake and Jordan while in LA. AG would be amazing in Houston.

While AG is not a star, he is a good role player. I just don't think he has the skill set to do what many want him to do in Orlando. And if you do, i really don't expect the magic to win many games.
