Best NBA Sites, Podcasts & Follows
I thought I would post this early since the season is just starting but wondered if others could post any great NBA Sites, writers to follow in general or on Twitter.
Q - Is a membership to the Athletic worth it in your opinion?
My Main NBA go to's are the following right now.
- RealGM
- HoopsHype
- ESPN and I do have their membership
- Cleaning the Glass Membership (debating on keeping this)
Looking for other great sites, writers or twitter follows.

The game flow on http://popcornmachine.net is always worth looking at after each and every game.

Good thought on Podcasts. I listen to Podcasts, usually cycling through Bill Simmons but I’ll check that out.

Lowe Post is a must listen. The Ringer has an NBA podcast feed that delivers 4 unique podcasts a week all in the NBA. Very LA, Boston and Philly heavy but overall good stuff and fun too

Re: Best NBA Sites, Podcasts & Follows
The Lowe Post is the best NBA podcast around. Zach Lowe does the best job of breaking down teams, the league, and all the intricacies from analytics to cap stuff to assessing roster moves.
Hardwood Paroxysm, Matt Morre, of The Action Network does a similarly good job. He does his homework on teams and provides educated takes.
Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer is pretty good and his podcasts with Chris Vernon are entertaining from time to time.
Woj and Shams and Marc Stein are great for the inside info.
Bill Simmons does a lot of NBA stuff; I disagree with most of the takes, but it's purely there for entertainment. And he'll drop some insider info from time to time. The interviews he does with players, coaches, GMs are really good.

While I’m thinking about it, one of the best or atleast the most entertaining twitter follows is @worldwidewob.

Re: Best NBA Sites, Podcasts & Follows
A few more podcasts for the list:
Magic related:
Locked on Magic (Daily Mon-Fri)
Do you believe in Magic (Weekly)
Close up Magic (Weekly)
The Orlando Magic Podcast (Weekly)
General NBA/interest:
The Starters do 2 'Drop' Podcasts a week
The JJ Redick podcast (because who doesn't like JJ)
Then the ones mentioned above. Woj/Lowe tend to be really good, Dunc'd On goes into a bit more analytical detail, I find the Kevin O'Connor and Chris Vernon podcast on the Ringer really funny and Bill Simmons is always an entertaining listen.

To get specific in the Ringer, for NBA pods I rank them in this order: Heat Check (Monday’s), The Mismatch (Vernon pod Tuesday), Corner Three (Friday pod), Group Chat (Thursday), Bill Simmons, and then Sources Say

I like Ryen Russillo’s too but during football season it kinda goes more in that direction. After that though, I like his basketball talk. He knows more than I would’ve thought before listening.

I don't think it's worth it for Robbins, for sure. I think most of this board has similar insight. Always thought we kind of propped him up on here a lot due to lack of better Magic coverage options... (Denton, Bianchi).
Only thing I'd really pay for is if Woj/Shams started charging for their service and their breaking news came out on there. But even still, that stuff would get leaked to public posts on Twitter in nanoseconds. So I guess it's a long winded version of saying no imo.

Thanks. I'm 50/50 because it would primarily be for Josh. He's grown as writer and I always felt he seemed hamstrung by what he could write. He seems a little more free now but I guess we'll have to see as the season goes on. Like others above, I'm a huge Zach Lowe fan and would like to see Josh become more skilled at the art of basketball in his writing as well as develop relationships with folks that have a unique insight into the players and future. Take some risks Josh, you're a good writer.
