To qualify as a Bird free agent, a player must have played three seasons without being waived or changing teams as a free agent.

So: yes.

Awesome! Thank you! trade fournier, simmons and our first for beal....Sign Kemba, then go all in with ross and vuc.... and yup there we go. We will be great on both ends of the court... and have a great bench. See... easy peazie! lol

You just made:

Walker/Augustin/Briscoe
Beal/Ross/Frazier
Isaac
Gordon
Vučević/Bamba/Mozgov

Add a couple forwards, and yes I can see 50+ wins in that roster.

I hope they'd go for it, I would even make our 2019 1st unprotected. If they need more, its worth giving them the OKC 2020 1st for good measure.

and to be honest with you.... it could be pretty doable. It think the trade for beal is fair enough for a disgruntled player that is already having so much friction with the organization. Kemba - Clifford relationship is real and so is our capspace.... whether or not it is enough to entice... i don't know. and resigning vuc and ross are possible as well. Make at least a good 2-3 year run at it and reinvigorate this organization, it's name and it's fan base.

It's totally okay!

Our boys just need to remember..

We can score 130 and win or 80 and have a chance against one of the best teams in the league (joking...there's like 12 teams better than Toronto in the west).

I have a great feeling that losing this game was the biggest motivator possible.

The feeling that we can play horribly and bone headed and still have a chance to win off shear effort and want.

We got this. This was a big test for our recently years horrible magic and I really really think we passed the test.

We won't win the ship this year of course (but ya never know ;))

But I feel like we will get better and better.

That unfortunately means.. Us big die hard magic fans.. Win or lose..

We need to get used to the magic affecting ours lives. Being devasted when we lose and insanely joyous when we win.

Welcome back magic fans! We DID not lose tonight! (well technically)
Yet even amid the suffering that results from sin...god's love is revealed.

Yeah, I have changed my tune and there is a good chance the Magic make the playoffs. This is not an indication of how good the magic are because, honestly, they are really not a good team; rather, after watching how the season has played out, it is more of an indication how bad the eastern conf is and how there is only 6 good teams. Someone has to take the last two spots and the Magic might be one of those teams. Hell, the Brooklyn Nets might make the playoffs. Could anyone even name more than 3 players on that roster???? Lol. That should tell you how weak the eastern conf is.

I really don't know if this a good thing or a bad thing. Yes, the fan base is exited after so many losing seasons but this team has so many flaws. This team needs talent in the worse way and I don't know how far a team led by Vuc, AG, and Evan gets you. Reminds of the current Heat team, a team full of role players that won't get far but finding a way to win. It's bitter sweet i guess.

A top 3 pick would have done wonders for the Magic but there is just so many bad teams.
