If they somehow trade Crabbe, I think they will be able to.

Yes except one problem. They have been trying to do that for 2 years and nobody is going to take that contract.

It's easier to trade now that he will have only 1 season remaining than when you have 3-4 years remaining.

Based on fans reaction, I just dont see them retaining BOTH DLo and Spencer. Thats alot of money in your PG rotation. They have other areas to adress fist that they could use that cap money on.

If Nets is so sure they won't re-sign him, Sean Marks will trade him before the trade deadline. He won't lose an asset for nothing after not having their draft pick for so many years.

you dont know that. They signed Dinwiddie to an amazing Nets discount contract. They easily have money to keep Russell.

Read what i said again. They can keep BOTH Spencer and DLo but would not be able to sign a max FA. Or a max FA and Spence and give up Dlo. They wont be able to afford all three Sencer, max FA, and the contract Dlo is projected to get 3 year 45mil area.

They’re projected to have 55 million in space including Dinwiddie’s ext. 15-20 million for DRussell and they’ll still have space for a max unless I’m missing something.

They have a ton of cap space. If they don’t resign Russell I’d be surprised.

And they can still trade Crabbe. OrlandoDream mentioned it's hard to trade him, but you don't need to clear all of his salary, it's possible to trade him for a 6mi/expiring contract + 12mi/guaranteed contract, so they clear only what they need to be able to sign a max FA + DLo (it's just an example).

Depending on DLo's new contract, cap holds for draft picks and minimum of players in the roster, it might be necessary

Searched on Google and found "Durant’s 2019-20 starting max salary is $38.2 million.".

They have 2 FRP (theirs + Denver), so I'd say something around 4-5mi/year.

They have 8 players under contract for next season (counting Crabbe) + 2 picks + DLo + Durant (example), totaling 12 players, so they need to sign at least 3 minimum players to reach 15 players in the roster and it might cost 2-3mi/year.
