Considering I’ve never been banned on this board and you have repeatedly for being a problem child, I’d say it’s working better for me than you.

I eagerly await your “you think I care about being banned?!” tough guy response too.

Guys, joyous occasion. Magic made a good trade yesterday. Please, no fighting on Markelle Fultz day. :meditate:

To each his own. I’m not going to tell you how to act on a message board. You’re an adult and should be able to figure it out on your own.

I just know for me personally, I don’t go on forums to complain or wallow in misery with other people. There’s not much appeal in that for me, but I say that knowing full well that it’s very cathartic for a lot of people to vent their frustrations vocally/loudly/publicly with other people who believe the same things that they believe.

I totally understand that mentality, just not for me.

I come here to enjoy the Magic first and foremost. But I also come here to learn. I’ve learned a ton of things from people on this board about stats, about draft scouting, about player development, about in game strategy, all kinds of things. I’ll defend my point strongly if I think I’m right, but I think that’s pretty normal all things considered.

But ultimately that desire to learn is why I’ll never put anyone, including you, on the ignore list. Because you never know when somebody’s gonna say something really insightful that you never thought of and never considered. I’m always open to expanding my horizons when it comes to basketball knowledge.

But when the negativity stops being rational and well thought out and turns into schtick (which unfortunately happens around here a lot), that’s when I click off and lose interest.

Gosh you are smart. I've only complained during this near decade rebuild. Because this team hasn't given a lot of us fans anything good to cheer for in 8 years. Except false hopes of playoffs. Seeing has how you came around in 2010. You don't know jack squat about me or how I act. I've been on this board 13 years, back when you were still popping zits on your ass. Sure times were much more happy then, but at the same time the Magic were much better than.

Please continue with your kiss ass ways.

*Sigh*

Well, I tried.

Thanks for at least confirming that you not only don't get, but have no desire to want to get it.

If THIS was what you came up with when someone was trying to extend an olive branch... then all I can do is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I do get it. I have no desire to be cool with you. In fact I don't like you at all. You've come around over the last two seasons as a know it all. You quote almost anybody and tell them how wrong they are, and how right you are. And that it's the Alex Martins way or the highway. Nobody can complain ever. Hell we have the right to complain over the last 8 years.

Me personally I feel I have every right to. Why? Because I have been a fan of this team since day 1. I went to their first ever game when I was 6 in '89 with my mom. I grew up with this team. I've bleed, sweat, spent money to go to games, buy merch etc etc for 30 years. I have that right to complain with this direction less garbage of the last 8 years. And if you don't like it, go count some cars in the road.

Seems to me that you are the one that doesn't get it.

I'm doing it on purpose. Hopefully you'll leave.

Bloody hell mate grow up.

I find Knightro an insightful and knowledgeable poster and the board would be a worse place without him. Frankly what we need less of is childish pettiness and repetitive moaning. It's boring.

You were 6 years old during the inaugural season.

So you're a 35 or 36 years old grown adult acting this way and saying this stuff?

That actually makes it even worse. :noway: :noway: :noway:

I like you and enjoy arguing with you, but it does get repetetive when 1 out of every 2 of your posts state the same complaints over an over again or trashing anyone who doesn't agree with you. It would be nice to talk regular basketball or other team related events outside your personal bias. But, we still agree every once in a while! Just a personal opinion on my part.

Yep age has nothing to do with me talking facts about you. Again you don't know me from a hole in the ground outside of this board.

You want to talk about you extending a olive branch, excuse me I have not seen you say, hey Nemesis21 my bad man. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot. I didn't intend for a disagreement to become personal. My bad let's try to bury the hatchet.

That's an olive branch. Manning up whether right or wrong, to clear the air.

Instead you continue with subtle jabs in attempts to make me look dumb. All with the protection from MODs.

And while you continue with your jabs, I have no intent on manning up on my end to clear the air with you. I'm to the point that I just don't care what you have to say to me or about me. I don't care about a warning. I don't care about a suspension. I don't care about your opinion on me as a Magic fan.

The Magic squeezing in to the playoffs means the team is drafting for a bench player. Some really interesting forward prospects should be available at #15: Sekou Doumbouya makes the most sense.

Gonna be an easy Sweater Vest victory for him. The rest of the bench contributed very well. These last four games are going to be very important to make up ground.

This is where our problems lie. and that is a learning and maturity thing. that's why when people say.... blow it up.... i'm a little reluctant because they are beginning to get it... not consistently but it's sinking in. The second that someone deviates from the plan... tries to play hero ball, everything collapses.... players start taking ill-advised shots and incorrect decisions... and if that coincides with a run the defense tailspins and we go into disarray. this all comes with experience. i'd rather focus on developing what we have and making these flashes into consistent play/effort as the youngsters develop ... than just banking on drafting a star.then add quality players and inserting them into a healthy environment that they can grow. This is why the spurs have always had constant success no matter who they add ...in my opinion. their culture is established and the new learn from the old.

sniffing the tail end of the draft would be a huge accomplishment for a young team. not so much for a team filled with vets... you are what you are at that point. for us... there is still so much internal growth to be made. The addition of fultz could totally send this team into a totally different level. So if their goal is to push for the playoff... i will happily support them as long as long as there is a plan in place.

This team has so much growing left in them, and we are seeing progress each year. This year we may not make the playoffs, but we're closer than last. Next year would be a real downer if we weren't in the 6-8 seed range the whole season. I'm glad we didn't make a trade for a star this year because our support pieces just aren't there yet. Small markets like the Magic need to trade for stars, or draft them. I believe we'll make a big trade once the supporting pieces are all in place and the engine is running optimally. Until then, any big trade is premature (see the Ibaka trade).

Because they didn't want him on Taj Gibson. Gibson is too physical.

Towns is a tough cover for anyone in the league and he definitely got the better of Isaac at times, but I thought Isaac did a solid job for the most part. Towns had his way with everyone we matched up against him. Thankfully for us, Wiggins neutralized Towns by jacking up 28 shots.
