I would rather be able to eat Rib Eye steak a couple times a week than buy a trendy tech gadget. I like to spend my money on adventure type things like Hiking or Mountain Climbing excursions, going diving or fishing in the ocean/lakes around Florida, music. I am hoping to hit Egypt this year to visit the Valley of the Kings as I am really into ancient history as well. Memories/experiences last longer than toys.

Agreed on every count. My spare money is spent on travel.

I was fairly addicted to buying music gear on craigslist. You name it, guitars, bass guitars, amps, pedals, mic's and drumming vst's. I was outta control for a while. I am thinking of unloading some on ebay at some juncture. I own Dean, Kramer, BC Rich, Traben and Ibanez guitars, lol. Outta control.

Are you my long lost twin?

I did the same but a few years back but directly from shops. Bought a jaguar bass, a couple nice pedals with the view of building a board, some pricey music programming tools, and I already owned a strat and a lovely fender acoustic...hmm. I already sold the bass and pedals...realised I personally didn't need more than just my beat up home-made distortion pedal a friend made me years back and as I didn't have a band anymore I found less joy in playing the bass on my own.

We live and we grow and learn. :-)

True. I have Superior Drummer and about 20 VST's for that plus 9 drummers drumsets. I have 3 bass's to boot. I have a pedal board case I built myself that is like a very large briefcase. I lined the inside with industrial strength Velcro and then put velcro on the bottom of each pedal along with a surge protector and 9v Power Supply for the pedals including G-String Dominator and NS2 for noise Supression, . Outside of that, I use the TS-9 overdrive, EQ pedal, Wah Wah, Stomp Box, DOD Digital Delay, Chorus and a bunch of pedals. When I record, I use an A/B Switch Pedal so I can split my guitar signal to go to (2) different 100 watt head stacks so that I can record dual guitars with two different sounds at the same time with 3 mics on each amp cabinet. I even cut a hole in back of cabinet and put mic in there to get extra low end layered back on mix. It is outta control.
