Definitely a flawed playmaker but he gets it done none the less.

But Derozen only has one year left on his deal before a player option. So I wouldn’t give up the farm for a guy likely to walk after one season.

Not sure about the fit. Derozan is a very good midrange shooter and someone that can get to the line as good as any second tier player in the league. Probably better. But the dude does not shoot 3s. At all. We are already going to have a lot of lane cloggage Ds against us I'm not sure he is going to be a massive upgrade from Evan if we can convince Evan to be more of a spot up shooter only on O. And let's be clear about this -- I'm not saying he is no better than Evan -- he is WAY better than Evan. But for what we really need on offense I'm not sure he is better due to his lack of range. Then again, I could see him and T Ross at the swing spots playing well next to each other...

To add, you don't trade for him if you're not willing to pay him as a when he opts out.

Fournier, Okeke, aaaand.....DJ? Or Bamba?

Okeke is still unsigned. They also essentially held Mo out of Summer League.

It's a no from me.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Evan and Bamba ... works from salary perspective

I like idea of potential two man game of Derozan and Vuc, but good lord that floor spacing would be painful

If he shot the 3 at all, let alone well, I'd be super intrigued.

If it comes cheap, I'd take it. He's still a better scorer than anyone else on the team. He would make us a playoff lock, imo, and would probably put us in top 4 contention. We'd need to improve our shooting a lot more though.

Plus, he could be a good name to shop as an expiring contract. He could make a package for Beal look real good.

Fournier + Bamba + Iwundu for DeRozan and Walker works financially.

http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=y4xwjt23

G: Augustin, Fultz, Carter-Williams
G: DeRozan, Walker, Frazier Jr.
F: Gordon, Ross
F: Isaac, Aminu, Okeke
C: Vucevic, Birch

Magic would have two roster spots open at that point.

Iv'e thought about acquiring DD before. Like Pepe mentioned spacing would be a problem but as a team we are actually better at shooting from the perimeter than we are at getting to the free throw line so he'd definitely help with that.

I'd send Bamba Fournier for him at the most add a second round pick, i'd like to keep Okeke.

DJ/(Fultz)/MCW
DD/TRoss
Isaac/(Okeke)/Iwundu
AG/Aminu
Vuc/Birch

if we can shoot well enough to alleviate spacing issues, we'd add a guy who can legitimately get his own shot at an All star level and help with some playmaking (6APG last year).

I'm not seeing a trade I like or resulting rotation that looks all that much better...DD creates too many lineups with no spacing

DeRozan = Fournier + DJ + Iwundu

x / MCW / Fultz
DeRozan / Ross / Frazier
Gordon / Al-Fq / Ross / Okeke
Isaac / Al-Fq / Okeke
Vucevic / Bamba / Birch

DeRozan = Fournier + Okeke + Iwundu + Frazier

DJ / MCW / Fultz
DeRozan / Ross
Gordon / Al-Fq
Isaac / Al-Fq
Vucevic / Bamba / Birch

DeRozan = Gordon + Iwundu + Frazier

DJ / MCW / Fultz
DeRozan / Ross
Fournier / Al-Fq / Okeke
Isaac / Al-Fq / Okeke
Vucevic / Bamba / Birch
