Your Official Magic RealGM A League DRAFT for 2019-2020!


Draft Guidelines:

1) Please refer to Commish SHAQ32's announcements on draft clocks. Typically, there are 6 hour clocks for each pick in the first half of the draft, and 3 hours for the second half of the draft. The clock will also only run from 6 AM EST - 12 MIDNIGHT EST. Please be aware of your spot in the draft and keep up with the progress in order to avoid being skipped.

2) Please notify the person picking after you after you make your pick. Work it out with them if you prefer email or text. If you notify the person after you, please say something in your draft selection post or in the discussion thread so that others are aware and don't send duplicate emails/texts. The draft also tends to run much faster and smoother if you notify the two people picking after you.

3) Send a list or big board to someone else to make your pick if you think you might miss the deadline to make your pick. The person you send a board to doesn't have to be a member of this league.

4) Check the progress of the draft before you leave the forums. You would be surprised to know how many times I have seen posters posting in other threads and then leaving the forums for the day/night without realizing they were OTC the whole time.

5) If you make a draft day trade, an even number of assets must be swapped. If 1/3 of the league veto the trade then it will not be allowed. An in-season trade veto works very similarly, but the rejection is made inside the Yahoo! Fantasy League 'trade review' instead.

6) The "Edrock" Rule - The draft continues even if you picked someone that was already taken.

7) The "Stick" Rule - If you get skipped 4 times, then your clock gets cut in half. Feel free to send in big boards or leave a cell # to text you when you're OTC. People say they respond to emails, but we've learned that is not always the case.

8) Picks that come at the end of each round (1st and 14th) do not have a clock allowance for each pick. For example (if it is a 6 hour clock), you don't have 12 hours to pick the 14th and 15th selections. You only have the 6 hour allotted time for both picks.

9) If you REALLY want a fun league, then please keep our discussion thread alive and pumping throughout the season. AN ACTIVE DISCUSSION THREAD = A FUN LEAGUE. I know this from experience. Humor, Action and Fighting make for a great league! lol

10) Remember, your Yahoo! Fantasy League roster positions, league rules, scoring format, season schedule, and other league settings can be found in the Yahoo! League Settings page, or with the help of a Commish.

12) This year, our initial Waiver Wire Order will be determined by the number of 'Draft Pick Posts' made that included at least one picture or video! If there are tie-breakers, then it will come down to equal-chance dice rolls or randomization.
