That’s what happens when you draft the same archetype of player every year.

Real reason why Magic players looking bad without Vučević and Ross is...

They are simply limited offensive players that lack advanced passing, shooting and BBIQ to be better.

This team in two games in a row, in freaking preseason, couldn't score 10 points in first 8 min. That's bottom of the bottoms.
I think it's more that they had no legs than missing Vuc.

I mean, AG was a big reason we were good last year.. he wasn't "dragged into the playoffs" because of 2 poor preseason showings. Obviously Vuc and Ross were our most important offensive options last year though.

The lengths that you go to invent excuses so as not to admit that Vuc is our best player is absolutely breathtaking. holy sh**

And when you combine his lack of natural instintcs, lack of natural shooting touch with whole summer long of workouts with one of the most talented player in history ( Kobe) you get player that tries to post up players he could easly just blow by and takes some of most laughable shots you can take , and ofc, never draws any FTs because he just tries to memo what Kobe told him instad of reacting to situation.
That's why working with "legends" is usless for vast majority of players. Players who work with them can teach some of their movies but new guys never understand when to use them. Copy past same was with Howard and Hakeem. Where Howard would get memo how to execute it, he literally NEVER did it in proper situation. Guy tried to roll off his shoulder and traveled like 4000000 times in his career.

As for rest of a game, this team would be instant 1# pick contender without Vučević and Ross.

I don't want to talk too much about younger players but Isaac , to me, shows zero improvments on offense.

sitting out our key guys in preseason, even for just one game, is a nice idea. It helps us gauge where our young guys are at the moment of their career and see if they have developed or not.

ehh, i disagree. That is where you have practice and spots in games throughout the season. Its not like we were a top-3 seed last year so everything is fine with the team and vets. We were 2 losses from being out of the playoffs. The season starts in 9 days, and we are seeing the same things from players that we have seen for years
i think its better to gauge the development of our youth against our a top team like the 6ers on a non-bearing game. I think it shows where we are as a team if we decide to move on from Evan, Vuc and Ross.

Being only 2 games out of the playoffs Last year, I dont think the team can afford to do this experimental situations during the course of a regular season game.

Some coaches make them run more than others. I remember getting off to hot shooting nights with Vogel and then fading as the season went on. It's the opposite with Cliff.

So okay if Vuc played we would've made more of the wide open shots.

Yeah he had an impressive stat line last game. What was it? 3 pts 2 rebs 4 TO's 4 fouls in 19 minutes.

I think some go to great lengths to criticize Bamba because they fear he'll eventually take the starting spot.
