Lakeland Magic Announce Training Camp Roster

Post#1 » by Howard Mass » Sun Oct 27, 2019 4:39 pm

The Lakeland Magic have announced their Training Camp Roster.

https://lakelandgazette.info/news/2019/10/26/lakeland-magic-select-two-players-in-2019-g-league-draft-and-finalize-training-camp-roster/

Some notable names.

Chuma Okeke and last year's second-Round Pick Justin Jackson

Jon Davis, Hassani Gravett, Isaac Humphries, BJ Johnson and Vic Law from Orlando Magic Training Camp

and their Draft Picks yesterday Michale Kyser and Ryan Taylor.

BTW: We need to have a Lakeland Magic Thread.

Beyond the two-way players Amile Jefferson and Josh Magette, Players I am interested in:

Isaac Humphries. This is a key year for him to show he belongs in the show. He displays a lot of qualities suggesting he could be a rotational player in the NBA.

Ryan Taylor. He has an NBA body but really disappointed in his transfer year at NorthWestern. He needs to grind out a couple G-league years, but stay focus and work hard, he could be an NBA baller.

Isaac Humphries looked bad and very slow from what I saw.

His surgery occurred on April 2nd. Recovery from ACL is anywhere from 9 to 12 months. That means he could be ready to play as early as December. The G-League regular season ends March 28th, with their playoffs ending in April.

Interesting. If he's 8 months out from surgery it shouldn't be too long until he's back on the court. Will add an interesting dynamic to Lakeland this year.
