But I am really down on Mo at the moment.

The only context I really ever think about Bamba in now is what can we salvage from Bamba via trade. Maybe packaged in a deal with AG for a bigger piece (DLo, Dinwiddie + something, Lavine, McCollum, Simons + Bazemore + something) or or maybe another flailing young player somewhere else that needs a change of scenery (DSJ, NAW, LW4, Brunson, Derrick White, Bogdan - obviously not struggling but you get my drift).

It’s crazy. Three weeks ago not a single person on this board would have been interested at all and justifiably so.

Now? The Wolves might not even want to deal him!

I’m just not sure if what he’s done so far this year is a small sample size fluke or if the light finally clicked on for him.

If it’s real and he really can be a relatively efficient 25 PPG scorer who almost never turns the ball over, I would be very interested in him.

I was still interested in him over the summer, especially if Minnesota wanted to treat him as *mostly* a salary dump whilst getting some talent back. I just think he has so much natural talent it's worth continuing to try to unlock, and at this point I'd imagine a fresh start in a new place could be good for him. But if he keeps up what he's doing so far, maybe he doesn't even need a fresh start? Might've figured it out himself.

I doubt Minn will trade him now unless he looks restless towards the end of that contract.

But for us and the value we've got to trade, Wiggins perceived value over the summer is likely what we can afford right now. I just don't see us having the pieces for anything bigger.

I've got no feel for who the next diamond in the rough deal will be at the moment though.

The diamonds in the rough in recent time have all been young top 5 type picks who have been deemed busts or deemed not to be stars too early. Fultz and Wiggins fit that profile perfectly. You could even say Oladipo was one of those people. Young guys for whatever reason seem to take longer nowadays to be ready to play to their potential in the NBA.

Going off that logic, id be keeping an eye on guys like Brandon Ingram, Dennis Smith, Jabari Parker, Malik Monk and Jahlil Okafor.
